By about mid season grigg is going to be asking himself wtf have i done

Grigg might be asking himself that now. Doesn't look entirely thrilled in the training footage. That place has destroyed countless football careers over the years. Look at what they did to Tambling. He was a psychological mess after 5 years at Richmond. He even resorted to hypnotherapy at one point. Wanting an easy game is one thing, but at what cost.

:)

Anyone he gets around like a sleepy chicken.

And Travis Casserly, I guess he's been recruited to get them back to their heyday of 2008 when they reached 9th :D

True, in the few games I've watched, Casserly has been serviceable for Swans, but I haven't seen anything that screams change in any aspect of his game since he was delisted.

GWS draftee Isiah Stevens makes one Giant leap with spectacular mark
Stevens, 18, produced more moments of athletic brilliance for Swan Districts in the WAFL Colts this season.

However, the 183cm goalkicker will need to improve his endurance and consistency to make the step up to AFL.

GWS recruiting manager Neville Stibbard said the recruit’s leap was something special.

“Stevens smashed Nic Naitanui's vertical jump and he (Stevens) is a foot shorter than him,” Stibbard said.

Average mark...

It did amuse me that Stibbard was pleased to mention the vertical jump results and not his beep test result ;)

I like what we have done, taking mature age players who have shown good form in state leagues. This suggests to me that we think our window is opening in the next couple of years which makes adding some mature bodies crucial to not only strengthen our depth but also add something to the best 22.

Very nice draft period for the Blues at this stage.
