As the rookie elevation cut-off date is Tuesday the 17th of March I thought it prudent to raise this discussion as to whom should and will be nominated.
There are a number of players who look likely to be upgraded and I found this report which raises some interesting points.
Spencer
Broughtman
Jacobs
Pyke
Thompson
look very promising and I wonder will dreamteam adjust the prices if they are no longer rookies, I dont think they will but if they did I would be in a bit of a pickle.
Carlton Blues look to promote some of their rookie stars

March 09, 2009 Carlton look set to reward rookie ruckman Sam Jacobs for his impressive pre-season form by elevating him to the senior list by Tuesday week's cut-off date.
Clubs without two veterans can select a "nominated" rookie, which makes them available to play senior football all year.
The Blues have no veterans and can nominate two rookies, with indigenous forward Jeff Garlett, midfielder Aaron Joseph and former Port Adelaide midfielder Greg Bentley also in contention.
In effect, it gives a club without veterans extra positions on its list.
Last year Michael Jamison played 18 games for the Blues after being promoted off the rookie list.
Jacobs, a bullocking 200cm redhead, has eclipsed ruck rival Shaun Hampson in the club's pre-season games and seems certain to be given a position, with Fremantle ruck recruit Robert Warnock a late starter.
Carlton football manager Steven Icke said the Blues had a range of options.
"Subject to salary cap room, we can nominate two rookies," Icke said.
"Sam has impressed everyone, including his own teammates. He has made a large impression on everybody. We just need to have a look at the structure of our list."
Port Adelaide is in a similar position with rookies after it put second-round draftee Jackson Trengove on its long-term injury list.
Dynamic indigenous goalsneak Wade Thompson and former Richmond midfielder Danny Meyer have impressed in pre-seasons matches and are candidates for elevation.
Port football manager Peter Rohde confirmed the club had extended the carrot of a senior game for the pair if they continued to impress.
This year all clubs can also elevate a rookie after Round 11 without putting a player on the long-term injured list.
Richmond's VFL recruit Robin Nahas may have to wait for a long-term injury to play senior football despite showing his class pre-season.
Graham Polak made his comeback on Friday, disproving reports he would go on the long-term injury list to make room for Nahas.
Collingwood has two veterans on its list, but is excited by Queensland soccer convert Lachlan Keeffe.
The 204cm rookie has played only a handful of Aussie rules games, but is wowing the coaching staff with his potential.
Coach Mick Malthouse said the 18-year-old beanpole had nearly pushed into Friday's NAB Cup semi-final side.
"I know he's not ready for senior footy, but he's a fantastic story," he said.
"He kicked a left-foot goal on the weekend and he's a right-footer. You would have sworn he was a left-footer. It's a job always on the go, but he's just stepping up beautifully.
"I am not saying he's challenging for next week, but he could just as easily be in the side for next week."
