The AFL Commission this week ruled that clubs can re-rookie a player for a third straight season without that player first entering the NAB AFL Draft and the Pre-Season Draft

Does that mean we can approach Luke Pratt and offer him one more year on the rookie list?

I'm guessing it's too late since he has been de-listed but not sure.

Don't the final list lodgements have to be in by October 31? So theoretically we can offer him another contract before then?

I was under the impression the club came out and said we would delist him on the assumption that we were limited to 2 year rookie contracts.

Also, do we have any players still yet to sign for next year? Isn't Foster out of contract?

...rookie-listed players Brent Connelly and Luke Pratt have been told they won't be retained.

So we should have time to offer him a new contract I would think. We would be pretty foolish not to - he has shown more than enough to warrant another year.

Foster, O'Brien and Headland are the only players yet to re-sign as far as I know.

I thought Headland and BoB had already signed. Not sure re Foster.

It was rumor and nothing official about Des and BoB re-signing for another year.

Wow so Headland could potentially be delisted this time next week? I don't know if we can afford that next season. I know he's injury prone and everything but surely we can't afford to be delisting senior players like him when we are smack bang in the middle of a rebuild
