Roos for Voss ...

We've heard it all before...

Roos to Carlton to replace the 'underperforming' Ratten.
Roos to West Coast because he bought some property there.
Roos to Melbourne to be their saviour.
Roos to Brisbane because of his playing history with the Lions.

Can't wait for the Roos to Essendon rumour when/if Hird gets flicked.

Roos to Norf when Braddles goes?

I actually wondered yesterday when I was listèning to 360 why they were both so confident that Voss would get another contract. I thought he probably would but I didn't think it was as sure a thing as they made it out to be,

Makes things very interesting now in the coaching landscape. I hope Alan Richardson is one that gets a shot. I think, as a veteran 'teaching' coach, he could prove to be as astute a pick as Hinkley and McCartney are proving to be.

So he under-performs for years.

Seems to be getting some improvement from a pretty average list.

And so they sack him.

Yep - that makes perfect sense.

Can't say it is a complete surprise or not warranted in some respects but really - now?

Maybe they planned for a review at the end of the year but thought this was a good opportunity to get it done while the focus was on the Bombers?

I may be lynched but i dont think roosys coaching matches the hype

We have a pretty big footy department spend and his winning percentage of 57 is great but its not that special

He was annoying me by the end as a fan

I'm almost certain Roos will not want a job anywhere that is not associated with us. He is one of those guys who is, forgive the corniness, is a Blood through and through no matter the circumstances or amount of money on the table.

Coaches kids so takes care of coaching bug

Lots of free time

Geez it would be tempting for him. More a question of how his family would handle a move than anything else I reckon. TBH I hope it's true, even though it might make Brisbane competitive.

You don't move against a coach this popular at the club without first having your ducks lined up and you make sure you have a big duck waiting in the wings.

Paul Roos makes sense here, Melbourne doesn't interest him but Brisbane with their ties to his Fitzroy days would have that pull to interest him. But there could be another current coach out of contract they have lined up, but they know the Lions fans won't cop a lesser name than Voss to come in to take over.

Eade/Woosha are the only ones i can think of if Roos opts out.

Roos name gets bandied about a lot. Next will be Roos for PM?
Only have to look at Mick Malthouse's Carlton stint to show that once you take a gap year that its best to stay in the commentary box... Malcolm Blight is another one with his move to St Kilda.

And Blight was undermined at St Kilda from the moment he showed up.

I'm looking forward to hearing about Richy, Reddeny, Rockliffy, Leuey (#2, LRT will always be Leuey #1), Saucey, Tadhg #2 and Moloneyney in his press conferences.

Mick's big mistake was to follow the Board's advise and not go public with his true feelings on the Carlton list in December so he could lower the expectations on the club for the year.

Roos wouldn't allow the media to build up the same hype
