Roos v Essendon

Sheeds will probably give Jobe a game in Canberra. He's going to be playing at North Sydney tomorrow - the Essendon publicity stuff for the game is talking about Essendon's family connection with Hird, Fletcher, Reynolds and Watson all having famous family affiliations with the club.

Who do you reckon will play at CHF?

Go Roos

Danny Jacobs will probably start there... while Lucas, Hille, Henneman and Lay**** will most likely spend some time there throughout the game.

Why do you ask?

Poncho,

Henneman did not play at all yesterday (he sat on the hill behind me) and I did not see Hille play either...so I'm not sure if they'll play in Canberra. A couple of other injury worries too, that I won't talk about for the moment.

On a brighter note, Jason Lay****, Ben Haynes and Adam McPhee looked quite good after half time, very promising.

Mark McVeigh...who told us at the after match BBQ that he thought he had an ordinary game...actually impressed me. He really put his body in and went for the hard ball gets far more often than I have seen him do before. If he keeps that up, success will come.

Jobe Watson was good too, a few skill errors (pace of the game caught him out a few times)

The Swans looked like they were playing for sheep stations, and I'm afraid our boys looked a bit like they were going through the motions at times. ...

Despite the fact that we lost the game...it is NOT wrist slashing time at Windy Hill.

thanks for the summary gozzo! yeah it sounded like the youngsters showed some promise. I'm heading up for the game this weekend, and I really hope a few of them will be included in the side.

Jobe Watson was named in the side on a half forward flank

Here's the side

Essendon team:
B: Mark Johnson, Dustin Fletcher, Sean Wellman
HB: Mark Bolton, Scott Lucas, Danny Jacobs
C: Adam Ramanauskas, Joe Misiti, Adam McPhee
HF: Joel Reynolds, Jason Lay****, Jobe Watson
F: Mark McVeigh, Matthew Lloyd, Damian Cupido
R: Steve Alessio, Jason Johnson, James Hird
Interchange: Andrew Welsh, Robert Forster-Knight, Ted Richards, Cory McGrath, James Davies, Jordan Bannister, Marc Bullen, Shane Harvey, Ken Hall and Ben Haynes.

Going to be a good match.. very excited.. very excited indeed.

Jobe Watson- think he'll debut?

Go Roos
I think that it will be a great game to watch on tv. I don't know if Melbourne are showing it live but I know that it will be on WinTV tomorrow.

It will be a tough battle for Dean Laidley. Hope for his sake that the roos are competitive

It's on telly in Melbourne from around 2.30pm or so. Don't know if it's live, but expect it would be.
