McGrath at full back on Neitz would be a major concern. Bryan developed well last year, but I don't think he is good enough to be an emergency as well as on the interchange bench. Seriously, though, I don't think you would be choosing 2 ruckman on the bench, but if you did, De Luca would be the better option as you can play him as a KP forward, if necessary. But I would probably swap him with Longmuir. Thornton should be at CHB and Saddington HB flank and I would hope that Walker might start in the first 18, but I'm not sure who to move to the bench, perhaps Betts.

I think he made a slight mistake, I'm sure he meant Livo at Full Back and McGrath in the pocket ;)

Yea i was thinking of Bryan as a possible 3rd tall up front or down back. I'm not too big on his ruck work, his sweeping kick is probably best utilised on a flank.

Clearly Houlihan would be in the Interchange, and go on about the crap that he isnt in our best 22

B: Russell, Livingston, Saddington

C: Simpson, Koutoufides (c), Walker
Hf: Waite, Whitnall, Longmuir
F: Betts, Fevola, Fisher

B. Carrazzo Thornton Teague
HB.Saddington Bower Lappin
C. Scotland Koutoufides Simpson
HF. Whitnall Waite Fisher
F. Walker Fevola Betts

EMERG.Livingston O'hAilpin Hartlett
IMO give Bower first crack at CHB. I believe he is capable of playing straight away with Saddington, Whitnall etc as insurance.

Can Fevola, Waite, Whitnall and Fisher all be played together in the same forward line?

I see it as something worth trying. It leaves Waite and Fisher on the 3rd and 4th best defenders, who they should be able to beat in most teams.

I believe Fevola, Whitnall, Waite and Fisher can and should all play in the foawrd six but dont think we should be playing the last three across the CHF line like most teams here are suggesting. Just leaves no real crummers on the deck if we get it in there quick and it also dosnt take full advantage of having the 4 talls as they wont be too close to goals. Fisher in the FP next to fev with betts at their feet and then Lappin/Houlihan at Whitnalls, Waite's feet would be my ideal set up.

Hartlett a chance to play foward at all this year, bullant fans?

B -- Carazzo=====Thornton===Hartlett
HB- Saddington==Waite======Lappin
C -- Scotland=====Kouta=====Walker
HF - Fisher======Whitnall====Simpson
FF - Betts=======Fevola=====O'halphin
R -- French=====Stevens====Bentick
INT- McGrath, Mclaren, Russel, Murphy

EMG - Kennedy, Bryan, Teague

*Try Waite at CHB and see how he goes, we are in need of a decent CHB.

Waite tends to push up the ground a fair bit and becomes almost a wingman, so it probably would work, particularly given that Whitnall gets down back late in the quarters. Should keep the opposition guessing a little bit as to who our go-to person will be in the forward line.

we recruited saddington as a KP back, we may think he is not a KP but that is where he will be played

waite is excellent in the fwd as he provides a target, has pace, puts pressure on defenders forcing errors

Yeah, i was just thinking we have to many good key fowards and not enough quality Key Backmen

Well it's not out of the question, Pagan might try him there for 1 or 2 games in the preseason and say if Saddington goes down with injury and our forward line is functioning well - we could possibly try Waite down back to fill a hole for a quarter or two.

It wouldn't surprise me one bit if I seen Waite in the back 50 at sometime this season.
