what do all you guys want the team to look like in round 1 next year?
just put in INS and outs based on the semi we just lossed
For me it would be

Out: r.shaw, s.wakelin (retired) cook cox and of course obree ( delisted or retire definately)
In: s.wellingham, j.barham, 1st round selection, rocca, burnsy (if still around if not bring in MACAFFER) the kid deserves a game after his late form in the 2's

By the way I was struggling to find a backmanto replace wakelin? Who do we have

Our first couple of draft selections may very well be 17 year olds, it's unlikely they're going to play round 1. That's the way that Hine drafts, and only Dale Thomas has played round 1 of our last 4 drafts.

O'Bree, Cook and Cox will still be at the club, IMHO, however they may not be in the 22.

IN: Rocca, Burns, Cousins, Reid, Prestigiacomo, Didak, H Shaw, Wood
OUT: Cook, Dawes, Wakelin, R Shaw, Cox, Goldsack, Bryan, Lockyer

Can't we wait to after Trade Week and Draft Day and Hell even after the Nab CUP Games because at the Moment we don't know how will be on our list next year

Ins: Burns, Didak, H. Shaw, Rocca, Wood, Presti
Out: Bryan, Cook, Wakelin (retired), Cox, R.Shaw, O'Bree

Others that I'd have to make a call on after seeing how they go in the preseason is Dawes and Anthony vs. Rusling and Reid. I've just said somewhere else, I reckon they should give Reid a go as a KPB and see how that goes.

id like to have a lade or white...
since josh has been traded to richmond for their first pick we add to that pick 11 and get kerr...
cousins as 3rd round pick....

lade, kerr, cousins, swan, didak nd burnsy to make up the bulk of the midfield...

Josh will never be traded. Not saying that because I think he's fantastic, I think he's ok, but frequently very disappointing. But the powers that be love him.

are you having a laugh?? Moneybags has come on leaps and bounds in the latter half of this season. his pressuring and closing speed is top quality.

I reckon Bryan has had his run, was probably in the side late for dependability but Wood needs an extended run now. Lockyer has been very disappointing in the big games this season.

B: Maxwell, Presti, O'Brien
HB: Clarke, Brown, H.Shaw
C: Pendlebury, Cousins, Lockyer
HF: Didak, Cloke, Davis
FF: Medhurst, Rocca, Reid

Followers: Fraser, Swan, Thomas
INT: Wood, Burns, McCarthy, Goldsack.

EMG: Wellingham, Cox, R.Shaw.

So basically my changes are:
OUT: R.Shaw, Cox, Cook, Wakelin, Bryan, Obree, Dawes.
IN: Didak, H.Shaw, Wood, Presti, Cousins, Burns, Rocca.

If Presti doesn't come up (and Wakes retires :(), then Reid will most likely play back. Reid and Rusling could both start, but I'm not sure which tall would lose their spot. Obree only goes out if Burns stays on board and we get Cousins (or Kerr - unlikely). Thomas plays on the ball from the get go, it will be his 4th year... it's time to make him the star we know he can be. Davis and Didak to have stints in the midfield, but one to stay deeper at any given time. Having one of these two at the talls' feet in addition to Medhurst will make our forward line far more dangerous than when both are up the ground. With both Clarke and Heater rebounding off half-back, we really going to get some effective drive (and Harry, who is great at it).

B: Maxwell, Brown, O'Brien
HB: Clarke, Reid, H.Shaw
C: Pendlebury, Cousins, Lockyer
HF: Didak, Cloke, Davis
FF: Medhurst, Rusling, Anthony
Foll: Fraser, Thomas, Swan

Int: Prestigiacomo, McCarthy, Burns, Goldsack

OUT: R. Shaw, Cox, Cook, Wakelin, O'Bree, Dawes
IN: Reid, Cousins, Rusling, Prestigiacomo, H. Shaw, Didak

Retirements/delistings/not in squad - Rocca, Wakelin (both retired probably), Lonie, Holland

B: Maxwell, Brown, O'Brien
HB: Clarke, Reid, H.Shaw
C: Pendlebury, Cousins, Lockyer
HF: Didak, Cloke, Davis
FF: Medhurst, Rusling, ????
Foll: Fraser, Thomas, Swan

Int: Prestigiacomo, McCarthy, Burns, Goldsack

OUT: R. Shaw, Cox, Cook, Wakelin, O'Bree, Dawes
IN: Reid, Cousins, Rusling, Prestigiacomo, H. Shaw, Didak

???? = Rocca / Anthony / Dick.

Well, we have an overabundance of tall forwards, and a lack of KPP defenders. Reid is extremely versatile and athletic, and has the ability to play as a CHB. I personally put him in for round 1 just so we can try him and see how good he is. Worth the punt imo.

Correct.

Throw in a terrible kick for goal, and you have your answer.

Don't know who will be in or out but i would like to see Harry O'Brien given a try at the clearances... he's hard as nails and seems to be very good in traffic these days... busting tackles and getting handballs out
i know he's important down back and i know he was towelled up when tried as a tagger on Goodes but i reckon he's ready now...

Thats exactly what I was thinking, he always seems to breaking those tackles and his pace isn't bad either. Might be a missing piece of the puzzle.

We'd wanna build his endurance base up preseason if we're gunna try this. Can't see it happening myself. I'd like to see us try to make the Sack a run with player.
