Devo. Here I was, arranging for my plane back to Australia to arrive on the 28th, and now our season opener against GWS is pushed forward a week.

GWS to be goalless in the first half. Not a good way to expose them first up in front of a captive audience watching them get pelted.

I will buy memberships of some sort for GWS alongside my swans memberships because with a family of 7 it is much cheaper to go to the footy with a membership than paying each fortnight. I am excited at the option of seeing a live game of footy potentially every weekend. No one will ever replace the swans in my heart but this is great news.
AFL isnt handling this well at them moment though apparently they are trying to move junior footy at least NSW to a Sunday which will make it very difficult for a lot of families to get to Sunday games if their kids play AFL any later than about 10am. I know we wont make Sundays because my son playas about 12-12.30.
All junior football in Vic is played on a Sunday and it has been like that for many years, as far back as I can remember.
I like this its honest.. and fwiw No1SwansFan, All junior football in Vic is played on a Sunday and it has been like that for many years, as far back as I can remember.
How does that affect things. Do they start games earlier or make more grounds available. Because as it stands if they do play on a sunday with a 1.10 for swans games and my 13yo playing at 12 or 12.30 as was regularly the case this year then we would never make the footy. Especially when he plays up at the blue mountains or down at Campbelltown.
Will be interesting to see the response the AFL guy gets when he attends presentation on Friday Night.
