Saints v Norf will get closer to 40,000 than 30,000
Also north will win. Can’t even remember the last time we won round one. Probably 2014

Oh I know - Adelaide in 2016.

We're not exactly Round One guns either but I reckon you'll find what we did last year - cramming five or so new players into a lineup can work at training but can get found out in the pressure of a real game for premiership points.

Doesn't work like that in real life. GF losers mental scars tend to follow through into the following year.

Not always. Some teams have suffered difficult losses in Grand Finals and come back stronger the next year.

1991 Hawthorn beat a young West Coast Eagles in their first grand final after West Coast finished 3 games clear on top of the ladder
1992: - Eagles win the flag from 4th (in

1998: North lose Grand Final to 5th placed Adelaide after being up by 28 (?) points at half time
1999: North win their 4th flag

2005: West Coast lose to Sydney by 4 points
2006: West Coast win the flag by beating Sydney by a point

2012: Top of ladder Hawks lose to Sydney
2013: Hawks win first of three in a row

There's just a few examples of teams going the other way and not fading after a bad GF loss. It is all up to the club and how the help there players process the loss and what they choose to take out of it. Obviously there are lots of examples such as Crows in 17 and port in 07 where clubs have gone the other way.

Personally I think that 2019 will be looked back on as the year the Giants finally 'grew up' and I fully expect them in another Grand Final in the next 2-3 years.
