Xavier v MGS @ Xavier (we've heard enough about that!)


Geelong Coll v Geelong Grammar - The Derby! - Could be a friday match?

Both teams had very bad losses in the practice round. College were smashed by St Kevins although supposedly they didn't have Cordy. Grammar lost to the Xavier 2nd XVIII. These are both bad losses, and appears to show that both Geelongs have lost all their talent from last year (with the exception of Cordy).

Unless anyone wants to argue otherwise, could this be the wooden spoon battle?

Grammar by 18 over Xavier. Grammars new stars just that level above the Xavs I think

results revealed that carters hammy has now left him out for at least a month, while vikerwillis and hayes are out for 2 with hayes a possible 3. biggest shock has been jack macciolli shoulder and will now have to go and have more tests to c weather to go for another shoulder reco or not but will b out for a possible 6. mayes finger will keep him out but will b back better then ever for round 2 while tyrone with stress fractures wont b takin any chances this week and will watch from the sidelines.

interesting that the xavs guys haven't written a thing yet after their loss. They did play well and are a very good team, but mgs were simply too good. Matt Whealan is a dirty person, trying to steal our drum and trying to strangle harra. He is a disgrace.

How many scholarships? - Alex Keath and Luke Mitchell (in yrs 10 and 11 so are hardly a quick fix scholarship to win the premiership)
Then there are a few indigenous scholarships - who are paid for by the government (just like sibisado)

Firstly, I'd say the kid who jumped on Whelan, before getting the shit kicked out of him, is the real disgrace.

Secondly, some would argue that it was the indigenous kids on scholarships that really won it for you. Not having a go at the use of the indigenous scholarships, but that number 10 kid is an absolute gun and seemed to be the one who really exposed us.

Actually it was 9.10 to 8.12, Xavier kicked 8 behinds in the last quarter so they definately had their chance.

Perhaps a bit harsh there, Bennets an unbelievable pack mark and he's obviously pretty bloody decent if he's full forward in a Grammar team recently packed with scholarships.
