Grammar are the embarassment, after going through all these years being a respectable footballing school of the APS, similar to Xavier, and refusing to give out scholarships, they finally gave in because they were no chance at winning a premiership without it.

Yeah your right, there were those 3. But what about the running behind from Grigg, the long bomb behind from Woods and the quick snap from Hannebery? Managed to just ignore them did you mate, made your argument look a bit better? Again, similarly to scholarships, bullshit doesn't win you any respect, and won't win you a premiership this year coz you really were not as good as you'd like to believe.
not sure when these behinds were scored but were not at the end with MGS having hit the lead by 7 points. Previously to that mgs kicked 4 straight to hit the lead. Those guys may have kicked those points, but only at the same time as MGS were also kicking points.

"If its and ands were pots and pans, there'd be no room for tinkers."
- Anonymous, just think about it Xavier.

Xavier only had one more scoring shot than MGS so you can hardly say they should have won. May, Vickers-Willis, Shaw and Lapin each missed pretty easy set shots from straight in front whereas Xavier had a couple of snaps and long bombs so you can hardly so they were easy shots.

It was a great game, Xavier deserved to win the game i think the MGS faithful will tell you that aswell. They led all day, and missed crucial shots in the last qtr that would have sealed the game. at the end of the day MGS came away with the points and good on them. All the Xavier guys are saying is, on the day it was your scholarship players that carried your team bar Carter(who did not get 43 disposals)

I have no affiliation with either school but am sick and tired of all this b*llsh*t talk, the APS was built on a good standard of hard, tough football, and to win at all costs but once the game was over you went into the rooms and had a bite to eat and congratulated each other on a good game and full credit went to the side that won. Every year the APS is a close competition and not always the best side wins, this is because its not what you bring to the change rooms but what you bring onto the field. Some where along the way this year seems to have forgotten all about that and is too busy making excuses for their performance on the day, I though that John Kennedy would have taught all the Xavier boys that missing goals is poor football and not an excuse to why you lost, usually the reason a team kicks so many behinds is because they can’t handle the pressure of the defense of the defense is only allowing them to have shots from difficult positions, either way I think it’s time for the Xavier boys to start working more on their kicking and less on their next BigFooty post

It was the best game i've seen in the APS. Both teams are easily the best this year it was just MGS who managed to get that extra goal. Well done to MGS. but still...the scolards werent needed.
