Round 10 Captain Selection...

Just thought i would start the weekly captain selection thread.

Had a quick look over my team for any possible candidates. First person that popped in my mind was Swan, so i had a look at his last 4 games against West Coast and my god.

His last for games have been 158, 99, 102, 126....giving him an average of 121.25. That just screams captaincy, and considering i didn't pick him this week and went with Cox instead....means Swan it is....

What are you thinking for Captain Selections this week??

Well I'll repeat what I said last time, don't put Buddy or Pav.

Might go with Thompson against the Bombers this week, usually goes alright against them, and this year they look rubbish and leak points. Kornes is also a good option against Freo, can't see him needing to put on a hard tag this week.

Picking up Bartel this week and will put him skipper, shouldnt get tagged against Carlton and will probs go head to head with a stevens, carrots or murphy

I'm thinking Joel Corey or one of the Cornes boys for me this week.

Probably go with Bartel, Corey or possibly Sam Mitchell again.

Quick look at his games against the Dogs - averages 92.3 over his career, including 3 consecutive hundreds. Last year he played them twice, scoring 130 and 135. Plus he is in great form - 3 hundreds in his last 5 games, averaging 106.6 over that stretch. Could pull a monster.

Jimmy, although his last month hasn't been too flash.

Other options are Cox, Cross or one of Swan/Thompson depending on who I bring in.

EDIT: Just found out I can afford Corey. Looks like either him or Jimmy.

Probably Kane Cornes against a Fremantle midfield at Subi. Hopefully have a captain score over 100 for a change, only happened once (that was 103 for cornes). Thought Dean Cox was a shoe in for 100 against Adelaide, o well... Would anyone pick Milburn as captain for something different. Due for a big one and playing against Carlton.

That 158 is a bit misleading as it was scored in semi final which went to extra time and he had a monster extra time! still probably got 100+ in normal time though

Yep, he will. We have no one else tag worthy... except maybe Ibbotson; lol. Our midfield sucks.

Bell is too old and Headland (who gets #1 tag) is injured.

I think that anyone (like me) that has Ablett should not even consider anyone else.

The guy gets some hard tags on him each week, and still racks up some monster scores. And he likes to get it and kick it (always a plus), and you can always get a goal or two each week from him.
