Round 10 Captain Selection...

Just thought i would start the weekly captain selection thread.

Had a quick look over my team for any possible candidates. First person that popped in my mind was Swan, so i had a look at his last 4 games against West Coast and my god.

His last for games have been 158, 99, 102, 126....giving him an average of 121.25. That just screams captaincy, and considering i didn't pick him this week and went with Cox instead....means Swan it is....

What are you thinking for Captain Selections this week??

Don't forget that 158 was in the semi final against West Coast where the game ran into extra time. Still looks a good choice though.

Thompson, Kornes, Ablett, Cox, JB and Pav are my main contenders... Possibly Swan or Didak too though!!!

Really don't know who to go with. Probably leaning towards Ablett or Thompson though, simply because of Ablett's form, and Thompson up against Bombers. Ablett has been VC the last 3 weeks, and has outscored my captain each week. Just worried that if I put him captain he won't do that well.

Ablett has the highest average i think, at 112. Missed round 7 so is only ranked 9th. He's my pick.

K.Cornes to bounce back with a big 115 - 120

Port must be playing different this year as P.Burgoyne and K.Cornes havnt tackled or marked much this year.

If K.Cornes can get 32 posses 6 marks and 6 tackles plus a goal ill be rapt this week. thats his norm for last season

yea i know but this is little gazza were talking about. geelong get beat by 86 points and gaz still racks up 118 so he should be a shoe in for another ton this week

Shaw, along with J.Brown, Cox and Cross are looking like my main options, but not at all convinced with many of them.

I hope so, he just hasnt been racking them up as much for the past few weeks. I might stick with him captain for another week.

True, and I have a feeling he could rack them up this week too. But I would never put him as captain. When he has a shocker, he has a dead set SHOCKER.

Yeah, and that's the balance I need to find. Can I afford to risk him as captain, knowing there is a chance he will have a poor one.

But, if we look over his scores this year, we'll see there is only one or two poor scores, with his 40 the week before last obviously the lowest. I am confident he can pull out a big one, or at least make 85.

After Cox's 81 last week, with my vice captain J. Brown getting 142, I'm pissed off at captain selections. None of the guns in my team this week really encourage me. Chad will be tagged by Crowley and probably get killed like everyone else has, Cross is playing Hawks and his scores suffer without West, Scotland is playing an angry Geelong, I don't trust forwards, I don't trust Heath Shaw, and after last week when he played the crows, who he usually dominates, in a big win and only scored 81, I don't trust Cox after last week. If Chapman plays he'll probably be my captain, if not either Salopek at Subi or Burton versus Essendon after a crap game.

EDIT: Just found out how well Cox averages against Collingwood and changed my mind.
