Round 11 trades (Fantasy)

That's not a rabble, a pretty good team with a couple odd selections.
For comparison, I'm ranked at 617 without Gaz, Pendles, Swan, SJ, Ebert or Heppell :confused:

Can't be bothered getting their BEs, but maybe trade Cloke, Fasolo or Billings to Claye Beams. I think he's a good downgrade target. Or spare some cash and keep your DPP link by going to Shenton.
Then you've got loads of options to trade one of your mid pricers to a premium.

I like that. I was thinking maybe Billings > Shenton (keep DPP) & maybe even Langford > Bews which would give me 300k to do 2 upgrades next week...

PS which selections are odd?

Odd was a bad word to use. Burgoyne, KK, Cloke, Fasolo and Billings are unique and I probably said 'odd' because they aren't expected. Ie why go Burgoyne when you could pick safer, better options like Hibberd and Simpson? Haven't seen Fasolo or Cloke in many teams.
My strange selection is having all three of Sandilands, Cox and Jacobs! (one will be traded soon)
Still a good team though, I reckon you'll end up in the top 1000.
I like your Langford-->Bews trade.

How are Simpson and Hibberd "better" or "safer" options? Simpson wasn't even looking like being a top 6 Def until the last 2 games. I traded in Burgoyne when Sam Mitchell went down injured (after Rd 7) Burgoyne was the best performed Def at the time averaging just under 106 playing midfield. Simpson was averaging only 94 in a struggling team with only 2 scores over 100 and they were both around the same price. Seemed like a no brainer at the time. I don't believe anyone could have predicted that Simpson would score 140+ the next 2 games inflating his average by 12 points. I'm not complaining with my selection as Burgoyne has scored 86 & 98 in his last 2 although his average dropping 10 points, those scores are solid enough. I reckon both will be averaging around 95 at the end of the season. Would have been nice to have got those two 140+ Simpson scores, but I can't see him doing that too often. He'll start copping the tag sooner than later. Having said that, I've had Simpson in my RDT all year and he's helped my overall high ranking tremendously in that game. :D

just realised that my 2 trades for next round will be hard to make. My other cash cows are nowhere near peaked, so other than sideways trading for an injured player i might not actually make 2 trades next week.

Anyone else in that situation?
Just swap to a couple of hawks ie roughie hodge then since they have gws

Looking at Langdon to Boyd and Crouch to Shenton...
I have $542k to go toward a premo... Boyd has the highest average under that price. Also looked at Priddis, Barlow, Cotch and Sloane.

Go Boyd. Has a great record V Freo

Went for:
Griffiths to Kelly
Lloyd to Kennedy (Syd) via DPP

At least I'll know how that turns out tonight. You guys have 5 minutes left to get rid of those players before my terrible luck comes on...

Should i stick with JPK 123 Loophole? thinking yes!
And
Either Lloyd -> Lennon or Robertson -> C.Beams?

Same question on JPK, brought him in 5 minutes before the round started and VC'd him at literally the last minute.

Gone Robertson to Shenton instead of Beams?? what do you think?
Also playing 2 out of Hallahan,R.Griffen, Polec!! Thinking Polec and Hallahan against average sides!

Big considerations all week on my trades, have ended up with these.

Lloyd -> Shenton
Macrae -> Heppell

Worried that Danger will be a late out and want some coverage just incase. Shenton will make money and Lloyd was just sitting there doing nothing anyway. Macrae to Hep D is one of the easiest trades all year.

For once I ended up doing what I posted earlier in the week (if only I had done this the last few weeks....)

Hickey > 115k ruck ($$$)
Crouch > Pendles

Got 300k in the bank, got to get it on the field asap.

Have changed this to Goddard. Some talk that Heppell trained away from the group today and possibly has a problem with his hand. Couldn't bear if he was out tomorrow night. Wanted him for a POD, but Goddard will serve.

Now Heppell is injured? This game doesn't like me having any good POD's. :mad:

Well they did say that he trained away from the main group a few times last year and apparently someone spoke to him and he said he was good to go for the game. Can't take that with a grain of salt these days though. Bomber also said in the press conference that there was a few concerns when speaking in general.

Just too much risk for me to take, he'll probably play anyway.

Bartel and Simpson are just way to expensive for me to justify bringing either in atm.

Polec -> Jaensch through Langdon DPP

Yess, yess let the jelousy flow through you

We'll revisit this post in three weeks time

Well week one down.

Starting price:
Jaensch: $423,516
Simpson: $531,502
Difference: +$107,986

Point difference:
Jaensch: 112
Simpson: 104
Difference: +8

Price rise yet to come but with Simpsons low BE he should have the greater rise this week. Both have a couple of games against contenders coming up.
