Autopsy Round 13, 2026: Hawks get leashed

**** this piece of shit. Consequences have actions. If he loses his job for being a racist piece of shit, then he only has himself to blame

100%

My wife copped a racist remark a few years ago, and seeing how much it laid her low was one of the most gutwrenching things I’ve had to see her go through.

It was utterly cruel. And yet too many people still just think it’s whatever and wave it off still. Its not. It hurts in a way that I’ll never truly get.

So this “supporter” can go **** himself and cop all the issues his moronic brain thought was acceptable in that moment. I mean Jesus, he doubled down in the message, that prat.

Makes me feel sick.

Yes that is my solution for someone being a racist campaigner. Deprive him of his income. I don't give a **** of you think that's disgusting, people like you are just complicit with this racism.

"Oh it's just some words" is ridiculous because it isn't just words, it's a prolonged attack on a bloke that has had to live with these attacks his whole life without respite.

I'm glad you won't comment on this anymore. I don't respect your opinion at all.
Agreed. Anyone enabling, or down playing this kind of action, it's a pretty shit effort, and needs to take a look at themselves

It's not really that complicated, it's a standard Terry Wallace flood. We can't find a target for good shots so bomb it long and it gets punched through or we shank it like Watson and Ginnivan because we are beyond comfortable distance.
Then on turn over they have space everywhere and generate easy shots. They missed their share too and just had more easy shots. We had some easy shots that we totally blew though. Meek x2, day, Chol, Lewis, Ginnivan x47, Weddle, MacDonald.
We need to kick goals from 45-55m! Why does this not happen! Look at our 3 peat - happened all the time. Kick over the shit!

Mitchell didn't look too impressed in his presser.

Not sure if it counts for much but i like to see the coach pissed off after a loss.

Mitch has the calmness of a priest.

Not sure I’d have been as calm and circumspect after that many misses.

I did like when the reporter asked what the root cause of the inaccuracy was, Mitch sort of just prattled off ending with … “mmm something that’s going to keep me up over the next few nights” 🤣

If you think we’re pissed by the inaccuracy, Sammy is on another level.

Anyone suggesting he’s in AA form is kidding themselves, I found it so funny the media said he was having a great season during the week. I love Sis and I wasn’t completely locked into it all tonight as I was out and watching on tv at a brewery but his physicality has been local footy level at best, he doesn’t want to hurt himself - can’t get away with that as a leader - I understand his excuses but it’s not good enough

The media, and a lot of fans, look to stats to back their thinking. Stats can make anything look good.

Id love one week without stats (obviously excluding goals and behinds, we need that for a result). I reckon a lot of opinions would change very quickly

Super refreshing to see that Australia has come a long way since the days I was growing up.

I went to the most famous Anglican Grammar school in Melbourne, Russell Greene was my PE coach. Myself and my boy Mike were the only two Greeks in the class of about 120 pupils. We copped it. However that was part of growing up. I remember thinking that wog actually meant welcomed overseas guest haha (meanwhile I was born in Melbourne)

In defence of sey, he just comes from another era where it was better just to ignore things.

This new Australian attitude though has really surprised me. Well done 👏

What was the free that was let go in their forward pocket in the last 5 mins? Jai was pissed and Hudson said “yeah, correct, even Newcombe knows the rule”

What era in Australia was it ever just let someone do whatever they want to you and get away with it?

You used to be able to smack people in the mouth for rubbish like this.

Perhaps you didn’t grow up in the 70s,80s or 90s.

For many Greeks, in Australia, the word ‘wog’ was originally a slur. It was used to make people feel inferior, foreign, uneducated, or unwelcome. In the 1950s, 60s, 70s and even into the 80s, many migrants experienced real discrimination and didn’t always feel they had the social power to simply call it out and have society support them.

Over time, many people from those communities did something quite clever: they reclaimed the word. Instead of allowing it to remain an insult, they turned it into a joke and a badge of identity. Shows like Acropolis Now and the work of Nick Giannopoulos played a major role in this.

The humour wasn’t really about accepting the insult—it was about taking away its power. By laughing at the stereotype, they were effectively saying, ‘Your prejudice says more about you than it does about us.’

Migrants from southern Europe in earlier decades often had fewer avenues to challenge discrimination publicly than many people have today. Reclaiming the word became one of the ways they responded.

You could not smack people in the mouth.

What chol can do now is really good.

Well done Australia

Mitchell has looked really pissed off at almost every presser we've had this season.

I can't think of a proper four quarter performance this year.

He's continually espousing the line that we need to learn from these lapses, yet for some reason the players aren't learning quick enough.

He's absolutely right to be frustrated.

We aren’t good enough, they totally outworked us in the second half with an inferior side with the likes of Sellwood Bramble etc. that was as embarrassing as I can remember with the Melbourne loss we were never in it. Hard to say who played well outside Ward for mine. Our leaders let us down Newk Day Sicily horrendous turnovers that led to goals. Gameplan similar to pies they outnumbered back and we kicked it to their outnumber all game. Mitchell ain’t no genius and neither is our side. We handed them 4 points by dumb shit. Just wow.

There hasn’t been one yet.

If we are to contend we need to find it.

Our best is up there with the best but not consistent enough so far.

Rarely use Insta but I've sent Mabs a message. Hopefully he gets a wave of positivity and love from Hawk supporters.

What’s worse is that not only are we not learning from them and they are still happening. They are happening more often and for longer now than the first 7 games.
