If you disrespect them, they will rain fire, retribution and injury-affected shitscores on you

VC Walsh
C Oliver

Walsh still in only 7% of teams, so hence going him as VC as a POD with the safe pick of Olipig as back-up.

The new recruit c rule is stupid.
You trading in a player in super coach has zero effect on that players performance.
If you think they are a good captain option pick them, new recruit or not.

The rule used to be no friday night captains.
They always fail. etc etc
Its superstition.
Its what ever we choose to be paranoid about at the moment.

Picking a captain is hard enough I reckon.
Taking in the 1 billion things that can effect a score per week.
Without adding extras.
Anyways.
Back your captain pick I reckon.

Now this is just ridiculous!
What are you, a robot? A mathematician or something?
Don’t bring logic into this!
I’ve never seen a more unrealistic arguement on here.
Of course there are SC Gods!
Of course we are superstitious!
Its for a reason!

Now, I don’t believe in Jesus, Mohammed, Buhdda or any of that other mumbo jumbo, but there are higher beings at play.

DONT bet on your side! (Except for cartons with mates).
DONT bet against your side!
And NEVER play your traded in player as VC or C!

although I may give new recruit Walsh the VC this week…….

I keep telling everyone, it’s bad luck to be superstitious

Genuinely not sure what to do this week.

Probably VC Darcy or maybe Cripps
C Neale

Hewett is becoming an option too, although you'd like a higher ceiling to VC him
In a non bye week I would VC Hewett on a Friday night as you can be fairly confident you’ll be able to bank a 120 score. In a bye week though, with Gawn and Oliver playing last we can VC any of the high ceiling mids/rucks so I wouldn’t do it

I don't have either Gawn or Piggy though.

WHAT HAPPENED TO LACHIE NEALE R12?

In a round where plenty of SuperCoaches were relying on Lachie Neale as skipper, he dropped below 100 for the first time in 2022, recording 87 points against Fremantle, his lowest score in his past 15 matches. The Dockers used Caleb Serong and Will Brodie on Neale, but the Brownlow medallist was still able to collect 31 disposals. However, he was hurt by a kicking efficiency of just 50 per cent. Overall, a quiet third term (10 points) was the difference between an 11th ton of the year and falling short.

Neale lost 16 points from his match tally from negative acts including giving away two free kicks.

ROUND 13 CAPTAINS
So, who should we put the C and VC on this round? With no Macrae or Miller this round it’s an open field of potential candidates.

Sam Walsh scored 130 against Essendon last year and could go big again on Friday night, but history isn’t kind to Patrick Cripps – he averages just 78.3 in his past three against the Bombers.

Lachie Neale scored 118 against the Saints last year but just 77 and 55 in his previous two St Kilda clashes, while Melbourne’s big two could be smart picks on Queen’s Birthday.

Max Gawn averages 125 in his past three against the Pies and has no Brodie Grundy to confront this time, while Clayton Oliver averages 119 in his past three against Collingwood.

If you’re looking for an exotic VC, Zach Butters has a great record against Richmond. In his past two he has scored 119 and 96 – bearing in mind he was injured at halftime in that game.

Meanwhile, North Melbourne’s run of conceding huge scores to opposition midfielders continued with Touk Miller’s 167 last round (following Clayton Oliver’s 178 and Ollie Wines’ 155). Josh Kelly, anyone?

My recent form here is awful.

Rounds 9, 10, 11 I had disappointing VC scores then got worse from my Captains. :(

So you would do well to avoid something like what my inclination is:

VC Neale (has had 6 scores north of 120, only one of which I'm managed to double - the smallest one, of course)
C Oliver (he's averaged 129.7 whilst I've owned him and got 99 and 113 when I gave him a VC/C job)

I offer these stats just for entertainment value, not sympathy or because I think I'm special - and to share my experience in just plain getting it wrong. This is the way.

For the fourth week in a row, a shiny new recruit gets a go (67% success rate over that period).

SP Walsh into Clarry (maybe Gawn)

Backing in Darcy VC to bounce back and put up 150+ on Hawthorn (who he scored 129 and 183 against last year) into ClarryPig Oliver
