What's up with Masten tonight? Has he been any good? anytime I looke over he's falling over or getting caught.

Anyone else have a different opinion?

He was good early in the first, but it seems that out on the full has shaken him a bit.

Ebert and Scotty Selwood are playing incredibly well. Their work in the middle is twhat we've been missing.

LeCras wins. That is all.

*Priddis' clearance work has been good too.

I think Brown has been excellent also.

Kennedy has not done much yet so lets hope he fires up.

McKinnley is lacking in confidence though is working very hard.

allright half time - my views:

- the best half we've played in a long time. probably since the swans game.
- despite the weather i reckon this is the best we've kicked all year. shannon hurn just did two fantastic kicks in the last 5 minutes there. lecras as we know is just a freak.
- our clearance work hasn't been great because sam mitchell is absolute tearing it up and no one can seem to stop him. 26 touches in a half and they've been pretty damaging.
- we've completely nullified franklin. his two goals he did absolutely nothing to get.
- i reckon we've contained roughead reasonably however it's just every time he's got the ball he seems to kick a goal
- probably handballing a bit too much. the wind makes it hard to kick but it looks a bit slippery out there. i think in windy slippery conditions when it's hard to dispose of the ball, kicking is the lesser of two evils.

individuals
- kerr: he's trying he's guts out but he is just out of form. it's hard for him as well because every time he gets the ball he is eaten by opposition players. i think for him he's just gonna have to work his way out of this.
- mackenzie; i love him defensively but he just lacks confidence in his own attacking game. i reckon he's a better kick than he thinks he is.
- wirrpanda; could've been a bit smarter on franklin's second goal (should've worked to mark up lewis (??) and should've seen franklin running through). aside from that has been fantastic, his always had great ball handling but the display he's putting on tonight is as good as any he's shown us over the years.
- lecras: don't need to say anything. he's football is superb.
- priddis: man he needs to work on his kicking but has been pretty solid again tonight.
- s selwood and ebert: these two guys have been great around the contest. they're leading our tackling count and it really shows. ebert has also been good offensively.

josh kennedy:

i really like this guy but he needs to lift his work rate. you don't really get to see it on the tv, but at the richmond game (first live game i've seen him play) i really noticed that off the ball he doesn't really do a whole lot. i reckon he's the best CHF we've had in a while already but he could learn a lot from a guy like Riewoldt - i reckon he could take his game to a level where he is a potential all australian CHF by 2011-2012ish.

nights like tonight are going to be tough for him - it's slippery, there's been a hell of a lot of stoppages and it's not really a CHF's game. sounds strange bcause Roughead's got 3 goals, but he's only had 6 touches, so i reckon that's a fair enough statement.

on these type of nights the only CHF's who are going to have an impact are those that are willing to get to as many contests as possible around the half forward line, get the ball to ground if they can't mark, make tackles and just lock the ball in their teams forward 50.

Anyway, all in all a really really good half, but there's still one half left, so let's keep it going lads. happy at the moment :)

yep ebert been pretty steady.

Don't mind spangers work around the ground. Making himself a general nuisance for his opponents.

Kennedy unlucky. What can be said about the umpires that hasn't already been said. F&*king Jerk offs.

Mitchell Brown looks like he's working himself into some fitness.

Priddis has 13 possessions, only 1 kick!

His kick was that clanger.

Been good inside but honestly, when on the end of a chain of handballs its just very very worrying...

I thought the Concord wasn't in use anymore? Clearly the MCG maggots have flown west after the Freo game and changed from yellow to red shirts.

Haha I laughed after the clanger he got the ball, went to kick but then thought better of it and handballed it.

Absolutely spot on. :thumbsu:

Ebert very good tonight.

Not bad for a 4th year player... :p;)

wanted to mention spangher - real good half but more importnatly i think he's an intelligent player. he made a couple of neat little taps to advantage under pressure which impressed me. defensively he doesn't make too many errors either.
