The bye has come at a bad time for Perth, after being beaten by bottom of the ladder Royals they now have to wait a week before there next game, to face the unstoppable Lions. But on to this weeks round of fixtures.

East Freo v Peel - you always give Peel a chance against the Sharks but there could be a swag of AFL players on display for Easts, which seems to have made them play worse this year. They've lost Spangher but look to have gained Staker and MacNamara. Should be a very close match this one, but Peel's tails will be up after last week's win, so they may just get over the line.

West Perth v Souths - should be a cracker and probably game of the round. WP with Seaby back and Souths, after a shock loss and AFL players being singled out by Dimmer should come back harder. Having said that Souths don't seem to play that well up at Joondy, but given fine conditions should be a sterling match.

Swans v Subi - this is where I take up drinking again, just to get me through the pain. The frustration of not being able to match the "top" teams in Subi and Souths but being able to match the rest. With a young side, watch for Garlett, Notte (should get a bigger role closer to goal with Hansen called up), Hinkley (hoping he didn't travel as a Dockers emergency), possibly Davis back, Fleming (who had a blinder last week IMO), Lammie. Can they take it up to the experienced and powerful Lions? I suspect not, but I have Auskick late afternoon so I will only see half the game, so I suppose my pain will be halved.:D

East Perth v Claremont, well you'd have to start East Perth as favourites after their gutsy win last week. Although, no McKinley this week and he was a catalyst last week, so they may struggle to find another playmaker. Claremont, on the whole, weren't too bad last week and they have a reasonable defensive group, with Warren and Mackenzie adding Richardson up forward. Agostino should be better from the run last week and Merrington, if he's on, is potent up forward. This should be a tight one but I'll go the Tiger's, just.

Just be thankful it's not supposed to be raining this week, although it was fun in the mud at Claremont last week......only because we won!!;) Enjoy everyone.

Oh how wrong I was. Yes, leaving just after half time and seeing us kick the first of the third, to be 30 points or so behind still, I thought we were still in for a comfortable less. I got home to see us only 16 points behind at three quarter time, then subi kick the next 2, so I start swearing and cursing again, then getting over the line. It was more painful to not be there! Great game, great contest. :thumbsu:
