What I couldn't understand was the pissy little kicks going to Roo and Kosi'z feet. Keep them in the arc, whack the ball in the air and if they dont mark it, let edd and milne do their thing.

Too right - if they can't see because of the sun, then Kosi or Roo needs to keep their arse in F50 and let the guys bang it in there as we've done all year. No point going round the cape to get it into the shade or try and chip-chip-chip towards goal.

You'd say take the win and move on, but did they learn anything? The game started half an hour later than last year, but would've thought someone in the club could work out the effect of the sun well before the game started.

Bit harsh I think. I've watched many a game at Subi (on TV), but have never seen the contrast between light and shade as heavy as that yesterday.

Not much the players or the club can do about the sun causing problems at Subi, it's the people that built the stadium's fault for not building it north-south rather than east-west. I usually sit at the city end when I go to games there and the glare gets pretty bad late in the afternoon. Probably explains some of the players skill errors yesterday.

The mythical new stadium they are supposed to be building here is going to correct that problem hopefully. Unfortunately we will probably all be long gone by the time they get around to building it.
