Word is changes will be as follows:-Fisher, Armfield and Garlett definitely out.

Definite in's at this stage are Scotland & Yarran.
Stevens definitely wont be in.

Great to see Yarran getting a run, really hope he turns it on.

Can understand Armfield going back, he's had a good run and will have benefited a lot.

Molly, is there a definate reason Scotland will come back and not Stevens? As in has his attitiude or work ethic been better since they were dropped?

Stevens was very close to being given a 3-4 week no football fitness progamme. Patience is wearing thin as clear that he doesnt have the committment required or expected of a player who should be a leader alongside Judd. He's fitness is not where it should be at. Scotland may have been a little stiff to be dropped in the first place considering the likes of Houlihan, Fisher, etc remained in.

Any ghostly influences there M.C.?

If JR is best on ground, I'll predict we will play off in the G.F.
It would be great to see names other than Fevola, Judd, Murphy or Gibbs earning the 5 points

I think he has got the confidence that he desperately needed. I've been a of and on supporter of him. But the article that Sheean wrote was fantastic. :thumbsu:

Reminds me of the articles a year or so ago when he was quite happy to admit that he was one of a group of players who were known for being 'party boys' around town and admitted he wasn't working hard enough.

How very disappointing to learn that a bloke who wanted to skipper our great club has a garbage attitude and no work ethic. And what a flog to think he was the calibre of person to captain Carlton.

His kicking skills add a genuine weapon to our side, but there's no place for him if his fitnesslevels/match-day work ethic aren't up to scratch.

Possibly a bit of hangover from when he was clearly our best midfielder and he knew he could coast a bit and get by on his skills and nous.

And to think we're paying the w***er $500k a year.

Come on Stevo. Lift your game.

Ease up pal. With talk like this go and join the filth's board.

I for one think Stevo will come back a better player this year for his spell in the two's.

Good luck to him

Word is changes will be as follows:-Fisher, Armfield and Garlett definitely out.

Definite in's at this stage are Scotland & Yarran.

Bower and Jamo to take late fintess tests (Jamo had his appendix out).

No word on Carlos as yet.

Austin also in line.

Stevens definitely wont be in.

Geez you're good :D! The club wanted to keep that one hush, i was hinting at that earlier in the week but didnt give it away...

hopefully he gets up, have also heard that stevo is a very slim chance while scotto is a certainty. Judd was a little sore earlier in the week but is fine now..

^^^

Agree. It's not going to be easy cracking back into the side. But I wish him good luck.

should be easy to get back into the side as our bottom 6 are the worst bottom 6 in the AFL.

Lets be honest we just beat Freo and Richmond, in many regards our form is no better than when we played essendon. Atleast in the first 1/2 against the bombers we looked an elite side at times.

Yes you did and you're likely to be proven right. Still I don't see the logic behind posting 'I know what the changes will be, but you can all wait to find out on Thursday'

It's great if you got a bit of inside info - but pointless if you're not willing to share...

Yeah, had a badly bruised leg but seems like he'll get up.

Good point, i'm sure you understand however that by naming names and saying directly whats coming out of the camp i'm giving up valuable information, information that has been passed onto me in good faith that i'm not going to come on here and talk as soon as i get wind of it.

If i can give little hints without giving too much away i'll endeavor to do so, in this case i thought it was possible.

Happy with the changes.

Having Scotland and Bower certainly strengthens our backline and looking forward to see what Yarran can do.

Ease up Carltank supporters. You flogs have rorted the fabric of the competition for years. This fixture is a bye for us. Carltank are the best tankers of all time. Just ask Libba.

P.S By the way Skip, work on that grammar of yours - very, very ordinary, just like the club you support.
Roos stays, takes swipe at Carlton:September 3, 2008

"I don't think we could finish on the bottom three years in a row like Carlton did. Or was it four? I certainly think, however, that we could sell a rebuilding program and philosophically, I do think we need to take some kids in the next draft.

"Having said that, I do think sometimes the draft is overrated. I think some people see it as a panacea for winning premierships but I still haven't seen a team win one from the bottom."

Swans start future planning

SYDNEY will hand 18-year-old midfielder Dan Hannebery his AFL debut in Saturday's clash with Carlton.

You're playing kids who are still in school in Melbourne.

Roos has also mentioned Johnston as a potential in if he's fit.

Sydney aren't tanking if Hall is still fit to play next year...

Jamo's had his appendix out and he's playing this week?????

CARLTON
In: Scotland Yarran Bower
Out: Hartlett Armfield Garlett

Yarran for Garlett - very happy. Would be happy for these boys to share the position every few weeks unti one of them "owns" it.

Bower for Hartlett - I feel sorry for Hartlett. Possibly the first time he has been omitted.....usually his position is forced through injury/suspension. Could spell curtains, but maybe he gets a one year deal and kept on as "depth".

Scotland for Armfield - well Scotty didn't play so he couldn't have been that good.......but was Army really that bad? TBH I didn't notice him a lot during the game. Chris Johnson will want to have a better week this week with Stevo on the prowl for a spot. Anderson also in the mix to make way I suppose.

No Carlos - FEV!
