Captain's Corner Review

With each review, I'll take a look at the captains I nominated in the Preview for the round, and see how well they performed.

My Top 10 Candidates from last week:

Selwood - 144
Hodge - 153
Ablett - 76
ROK - 107
NDS - DNP
Pav - 64
Judd - 86
Bartel - 70
Cross - 138
Hayes - 91

And the smokies from last week:

Goodwin - 87
Fisher - 147
Mitchell - 132
Cooney - 114
Boomer - 114
Green - 78

Well, at least I got the top two right, and funnily enough, the 'smokies' out performed the main selections. Nicky Dal not playing may have affected Hayes' score, but still, ROK didn't live up to his epic record vs Carlton and the Geelong boys (bar Selwood) were just underwheliming. Pav-a-lenko just bombed it. Cross' 138 was another good option.

Who's In-Form?

Nick Malceski - Last five scores; 100, 129, 78, 118 & 136 (5R Ave: 112)

James Kelly - Last four scores; 109, 113, 109 & 151 (4R Ave: 121)
Matty Boyd - Last six scores; 130, 140, 134, 79, 111 & 148 (6R Ave: 124)
Brett Deledio - Last five scores; 111, 123, 90, 129 & 120 (5R Ave: 115)
Sam Mitchell - Last four scores; 132, 135, 110 & 110 (4R Ave: 119)

goodes should be in the in form category and sam fisher was one of ur captain smokies :P

Goodes is only averaging 100 from his past 5 games so he is not setting the world on fire like the others just yet, although his last 2 games have been awesome and made up for his 16 a couple of weeks ago.

and despite goodes 'form' reversal (see moved position) is only over 2 weeks, surely that qualifies IF certain factors are behind that reversal.

he's on the ball, he's allowed to control the game as he likes - he's a premium in my eyes.

Naah, not quite besty.

Has a pretty crisp average of 122 over the past three rounds, but I'm looking for a little more consistency over a longer period of time before I throw him into the 'In-Form' category.

If Goodes isn't there, it's for a reason.

Dane Swan for the "In Form" Category? Averaging 142 over the past 5 weeks.

173, 101, 163, 127, 145

Yeah, had him last week, didn't want to seem repetitive.

You can go further than that; the guy hasn't had a sub-100 game since ROUND 5 , averaging 130 since then :D:thumbsu:.

Look up 'In-Form' in the dictionary, and you'll see a picture of Dane Swan ;)
