Autopsy Round 17, 2021: Brisbane v St.Kilda

Finally got some closure. That 2 point loss in 2020 sat badly with me.

There are so many positives which could be discussed after tonight, but I’d like to throw forward 3 names.

- Ryan Byrnes (2 goals, 15 disp.)
- Leo Connolly (first goal in AFL)
- Tom Highmore (match high 6 intercept marks)

Give it up for these young and late draftees - they’re the future.

You bloody bewty!

We genuinely looked like a good finals side tonight.

Dunstan is my spirit animal.

Charlie Cameron who? Webster is the GOAT.

Tom. Highmore. Is. A. God!

Captain Jack at it again.

Ben Long showing he’s a FORWARD.

King showing Andrews his massive gonads.

Sinclair and McKenzie again massive.

And Membrey coming back to his usual exquisite goalkicking.

So happy right now, gonna soak this up and celebrate with you all!!

This midfield looks ridiculous when they play like this:

Jack Steele - 31 touches, 11 contested, 6 clearances, 7 tackles, 2 inside 50s - 2 goals
Luke Dunstan - 29 touches, 10 contested, 6 clearances, 2 tackles, 7 insides 50s
Zak Jones - 26 touches, 13 contested, 10 clearances, 2 tackles, 6 inside 50s
Brad Crouch - 23 touches, 5 contested, 0 clearances, 3 tackles, 2 inside 50s - 1 goal

Zak Jones 26 touches and 10 clearances. What a mongrel, welcome back

Best win all year

Jack Steele another 3 Brownlow votes. Great captain, leads from the front.

We beat them in the middle. Dunstan good again, Jones terrific in his first game back, Crouch solid.

Max killed Andrews. 10 marks, 5 contested

Down the other end Doogs killed Joe and Highmore was great.

Byrnes is a fat little jet

Long starting to play some good footy again

You beauty!
