Round 19 Results

Well, it looks as though Brisbane are pretty switched on against Hawthorn. If they win, Hawthorn will be plenty of percentage ahead of us, but Brisbane will be only half a game behind.

If Sydney win, that'll leave us in 7th, and if as expected the Dogs beat Melbourne, they'll also be half a game behind us.

I'm not sure what the best results are for us, presumably we ought to concede that Hawthorn will finish above us and barrack for them against the Lions...

Thoughts?

if things go our way we can still finish top 4, but its extremely unlikely, pies dug their own grave last night

They broke earth for that grave in the Bulldogs game when they were 3 goals up in the 3rd quarter and didn't finish them off, then on Queens birthday long weekend they had the grave half dug but weren't sure if they would need it by not being able to beat Melbourne duds. And yes, last night they finished the grave, now all they have to do is lie in it next week and let Melbourne bury them alive. They need to have a long hard look at why they can't get over crap teams like Tigers and Demons at their home ground in games that really matter. They also need to look at the team phsychlogy of not being able to put teams away when they are 3 or 4 goals up on them or playing well like they were in the 3rd quarter last night and against the Bulldogs.

shouldn't we be hoping that lions, blues, saints and kangas win? if that happens it would be like nothing happened this week

apart from the depressing fact that we lost to richmond

Blues - yes.
Lions - no, for reasons already stated.
Saints - maybe, it would put them 1/2 a game behind us too.
Kangas - probably ought to concede them, yes.

Lions reclaim the lead. At least Brown, Lappin, Black, Adcock and Franklin are doing well for my SC team.

I have Brown, Adcock, Franklin, Lappin and Black.
My opponent has Lappin, Black and Birchall.

So far I'm way ahead. :thumbsu:

Port are up by 23 points midway through the first quarter. Could be a thumping. :( :) :( :) :( :) :(

Carlton are putting on a HUGE run, 6 goals in a row and Fevola lining up for the 7th. Will be within a kick if he gets it.

LMFAO, at half time i was like, hmm wouldn't it be funny if carlton kicked 10 in the third

if carlton wins i will sure feel better, port will be exposed as pretenders too, we are not alone :D go carlton!

Carlton get their seventh in a row, within 2 points. Fev four goals for the quarter (and 81 SC points in a qtr!)

Carlton hit the lead before 3 qtr time, but have now dropped 15 points back. Looks like they won't get there, but would be very good chances against Essendon and favourites against Melbourne.

anyone else over the loss? my dreamteam and the fact i just found out i had monday off cheered me up
I was over the loss once the siren sounded.

Three losses to the three teams on 38 points is a good result for us. One win from our last three games will mean these three teams (Lions, Dogs, Saints) will have to win all three to overtake us.

It was fun to watch Carlton tease their supporters then collapse as uaual, ha ha. At least we just lose, we don't fart arse around with 7 goal defeciets and then still lose.
