i assume it's gonna be GAJ VC and Swan/Pendles/Beams for C for most.

after last week's debacle choosing Pendles as C i'm hoping GAJ can hit 125 so i don't have to sweat making the wrong decision. pretty sure i'll be going for Beams as C

JSelwood VC
Ablett C

This ^ :thumbsu:

JSelwood has averaged 128.3 from his last 7 games. That average includes a score of 54 (Crowley tag) Am absolutely spewing I didn't wack the C on him on the weekend, he was always going to go big against the Saints. *facepalm* Right now he is the inform SC mid super-premo.

I want to say NTIOG (Never Take It Off Gazza) because every time I have it backfires.

But VC Jelwood and high chance i'll keep him as captain. Otherwise Gazza for C.

Ok, could somebody please check this. I'm planning some tricky loophole work.

I am planning on starting the round with S Johnson as VC, T Menzel as C (not playing), J Selwood as E.

Scenario 1 = If Selwood and Johnson both go big tonight.
I leave things unchanged. I will get Johnson's scored doubled and Selwood's score will count.

Scenario 2 = If Selwood and Johnson both struggle.
I put the C on Ablett and swap Menzel for T Mitchell. I will get Ablett's score doubled and T Mitchell's score will count not Selwood's.

Scenario 3 = If Selwood goes big and Johnson struggles.
I put the C on Ablett. I will get Ablett's scored doubled and Selwood's score will count.

Scenario 4 = If Selwood struggles and Johnson goes big.
This the least ideal situation as I will not be able to both lock-in Johnson's score as captain and lock-out Selwood's poor score at the same time. I have two choices:

1: Selwood locked out - I put the C on Ablett and swap Menzel for T Mitchell. I will get Ablett's score doubled and T Mitchell's score will count not Selwood's.

2: Johnson locked in - I leave things unchanged. I will get Johnson's scored doubled and Selwood's score will count.

If Selwood's score is really bad then probably option 1, but if Johnson score is ridiculously good then probably option 2.

Is my logic correct with this loophole usage? Or have I made a mistake?

Yes, concept is right, except,

T Menzel named as emergency for Blues,

be wary of this for loophole purposes........

People have been caught out with this, really need somebody not in final 25,

Do you have more than 1 of your 30 palyers, not playing?

Can you split the emerg & captain loopholes between lines? (ie Mids for Emerg & Fwds for Capt)

i think you are making this a lot more complicated then it needs to be.

you are trying to do 2 things here; Captain loophole and loophole Selwood/t mitch - there is no reason you can't do both as long as you have a bench player from any position besides mid which is not playing like in my case a ruck. do you have any players across any lines besides MID that are not playing? if the answer is no then you can do the above. If Yes then do the following:

1 - loophole Captain:
put the VC on SJ, put non mid bench player on field (e.g. mcbean) put E on player you know will play. Put C on Ablett. If you are happy with SJ score then change C to Mcbean

2 - loophole Selwood:
Put T menz on field and selwood E. if you are happy wiht Selwood's score then leave as is. if not swap T Menz and t mitch

T Menzel named as emergency for Blues,

Dear oh dear!

I'm already using an emergency loophole in my forward line with McBean. Not sure I'd trust any of my forwards with the captaincy loophole.

Btw, I've swapped those names around now. Now I'll start Selwood VC and Martin E. Martin is more likely to have a poor game than Johnson.

Yes. I am using Mcbean in a separate emergency loophole situation in the forward line. If I put the C on him, I would be in the same situation of doing two things at once. I'm basically creating 3 loopholes with 2 non-playing players.

Just hate you to have the big 'C' on TMenzel and he be a late in and you score 2x 35 (or something)!!

post your whole team, we all might be able to give you some ideas,

I have Moller (Freo Ruck & not named in 25) as R2 (with Kreuzer on bench with 'E') so he is my 'get out' captain option, doesn't have to be playing on same line to use for Captaincy loophole,

So, if Jelwood or SJ (not sure who I'll choose yet btw) go huge tonight, Moller will stay my captain, if they spud it, GAJ gets the C tomorrow morning,

So then I can look to Def, Fwd & Mids seperately to see if I can use an emergency loophole option with those lines,

Ablett VC, Swan C.

Swans record against the bombers is awesome, particularly in non Anzac day games (142, 176, 175)

They still reveal late ins before the match, so if I follow closely I should be able to move the C off him if he gets a call up.

def: b goddard, b gibbs, d heppell, g ibbotson, p hanley, t mckenzie (b staker, j webster)
mid: g ablett, s pendlebury, d swan, k jack, jp kennedy, j selwood, m priddis, d martin (t mitchell, t menzel)
ruc: w minson, d cox (t nicholls, s rowe)
fwd: s johnson, a walker, t rockliff, n riewoldt, jj kennedy, l franklin (j bartel, l mcbean)

Planning on using Bartel/McBean as an emergency loophole in the forward line, not sure who i'll hedge against yet though.

MIDS - yes, do Dusty (E), Titch with TMenzel (donut) & keep eye on late outs etc.
RUCK - could use Nicholls as R2 and your 'captain', Cox at R3 with 'E', keep an eye on if Cox is late out(?), switch E to Rowe (R4)
FWDS - Bartel (E) to F7 with NRoo/JJK? - swing McBean

If not happy with VC choice's score, switch C from Nicholls to somebody else you like,

Is Cox likely the be out? Surely not. I think with no NicNat, they need both him and Lycett.

And yes, I forgot Nicholls was out.

I really hope not, but I have seen someone mention it,

as usual, it's probably one of those BS things that go around Thurs & Fri,

With Nicholls out they better not!!!
