Result was closer than I expected, Kruezer was immense. Not surprising we lost to a top 4 team who have adopted the 'improve your list with players from other clubs' model. I'm sure John Elliot likes what the pies have become, remains to be seen how far it takes them. Anything less than top two would be a failure.

Boy it hurts when you gift a game way like that. Our worst players whowe all saw and need not be named were liabilities. Really need to shore up the defence instead of playing our weakest links there.
This exactly how can you play 3 players who arent up to senior football in the backline! We have a few too many 2nd rate players in this team who are either not up to standard or cant stick a f@#$ing tackle! Our fwd structure is a joke J.Barker sh#$house player sh#$house fwd coach!

Honestly can't see the benefit of making 5 changes. Has to be measured and incremental adjustments, that many changes would have a deleterious effect on confidence and continuity.

If it wasn't for Betts and Hammer injuries, can you honestly tell me that any one of:

Lucas, Touhy, Casboult, Joseph and Duigan

deserved another go this week?

The problem was from round 1. Laidler should've been selected immediately, so he could find form. Instead he comes in today in wet conditions without having played.

McLean as sub is just astonishingly stupid thing to do.

Davies being included is mystifying to say the least.

This coach has NFI, the game has passed him by, his idea of Arizona training has done NOTHING at all. It is a big waste of time because he wants a trip to America.

Believe it or not, but I also wanted Bootsma gone too after last week, but I didn't want to piss everybody off by making 6 changes.

We are not going to win a damn thing with these players:

Touhy
Joseph
Duigan
Davies

Lucas is on thin ice. VERY thin ice. His arms are like noodles when he tries to make a tackle, no wonder they alway break free from him.

As for our "star" players, Simpson has been average, Murphy has been crap as captain WTF was he doing trying to take a 1 hander on the wing? Gibbs again went missing today after a promising start, too many times he hesitated. Walker did a nice vanishing act too.

I'M ON THE INTERNET AND I WANT CHANGES!

I thought Boots spent more time on Sinclair than Elliott, it was only after the sub that things got changed around. Either way, I can't see him getting a game next round.

Levi didn't show much.
Bell seemed like he didn't know his own speed (or lack there of) and kept getting caught but still showed some promise.
Sugar had his moments but needs to be able to stick a tackle.
Carrots has seemed off both rounds.
Jamo, Judd and Rowe all played well IMO
Murph and Simmo were seriously lacking.
Yazz stepped up.

I see why Laidler was on the outer, 2 fresh air punches. Lucas tackling is very poor. Murphy is not captain material, he is a downhill skier ( however don't think we had a better option, which is worrying ). Simpson is no longer a lock, his disposal is disgraceful.
Positives: Rowe, Kreuzer, Jamison, Walker got us going 1st qtr.

Ins: Scotland, Hampson, Buckley

Outs: Davies, Casboult, Tuohy

You seriously want to keep Lucas in for Geelong next week?

LOL at least I'm not living in some delusional world where Lucas and Davies are good players.

Go ahead, keep blaming the umpires and living in your fairy land, you clearly have NFI.

I think Lucas will be alright, to be fair, he is showing more than his spot competition in Simpson.

Also WTF has happened to Carrazzo this season?

I can forgive Lucas the first missed tackle (very begrudgingly) but to do it again when you should be doing your absolute utmost to atone is just so weak. To his credit he took a courageous mark going back with the flight of the ball but like Murphy on Jackson last week, missed tackles like that just give so much impetus to the other team.

Pissed off with senior players like Murphy, Simpson and Carrazzo more than the young kids to be honest.
Thought Murphy really lifted like a captain in the third term and last quarter.

Carrazzo hasn't been good.

Lucas really needs to improve his tackling and intensity because he does more good than bad.

Kreuzer is getting wraps, but he didn't really get on top around the ground and get out all that often to hurt them. Strange game, but it didn't really suit talls.

Hope we see more of Henderson forward after he turned and hit a teammate like a smaller man.

Bell was pretty sloppy with his decision making and smarts.

Laidler will improve, but looked a bit out of sorts.

The Bootsma kicking is alarming.

He is a kid in his first year and did well last week apart from being caught in the final moments of a game. So quickly people dismiss the good efforts and only focus on the negatives to push an argument and an agenda. He did not play on Elliot for the whole game and Elliot had a career day and unfortunately it was against us.

If we don't play the kids people get antsy and when we do others jump all over them unfairly and blame them for losses when there are many scapegoats. I understand we are all angry but there were many factors that contributed to todays loss and calling for Josh's head is unfair at this stage. Kids are always going to have ups and downs and he has played less than 10 AFL games FFS.

How about putting some of the blame to some more experienced campaigners that had quiet days in Carazzo and Simpson who were basically unsighted. Lucas also was less than impressive and he needs to learn how to tackle. Plenty of blame to go around after a loss like this and calling for the most inexperienced players head out there is crap. Don't even get me started on the umpiring.

Is it too late to also be blaming JR?

yeah I dont think murph was as bad as some are saying. Lucas was ok, and will be better if he can land a tackle. Casboult, Boots and Davies need to return to the 2s for a bit. On the upside, Rowe was competitive, Kreuzer and jamison both stay in form, Juddy has some good touch, and garlett was pretty damn good. yarran and garlett damn near won the game themselves
