Alex Rance, Tom Hislop and Robin Nahas

RANCE: 18 disposals, 6 marks, 2 tackles - Really impressive for a first gamer, and I think he can only get better. At times his disposal let him down, but it's his first game and we can give him some leeway there. Long term back prospect who I reckon can either slot in the back line, or even keep thursfield out of the side. :thumbsu::thumbsu::thumbsu:

HISLOP: 10 disposals, 2 marks, 4 tackles, 1 goal. Look pretty good. Has the body to play footy no doubt, and I reckon has huge upside as a versatile player who could probably play anywhere on the field. 4 tackles says he adds some hardness and was equal second for us in that department. Can't fault him to much - had one glaringly bad disposal - but apart from that was solid without being spectacular.:thumbsu::thumbsu:

NAHAS: 9 disposals, 4 marks, 1 tackle, 1 behind, 1 out on the full.Big fan, the little guy had a quiet one. Showed glipses and if he keeps coming on then I think he is the spark we need in our forward line. Just missed a snap shot and fluffed another out on the full when he should've drop punted.:thumbsu::thumbsu:

Overally very solid debut from the new guys. On the back of their performances theres no doubting there is real dept in the side, and in a way, last weeks and ommissions was good in the sense it gave these young guys ago. They did extremely well against the cats and we should realise at the end of the day we had a huge lack of experience.

Rance and Hislop really impressed me today. Hislop hard at it today and added defensive pressure inside our 50. Rance backed himself and looked the goods

I've watched Nahas closely throughout the NAB challenge and again today and in the 2nd half I noticed he finally found the pace of the game and started looking more comfortable. Expecting him to build on that and be a good contributor next week onwards.

Rance and Hislop very happy both had an impact, good effort:thumbsu:

Rance 7/10 - is a goer with good skill and speed.
Hislop 5/10 - lacks skills, but is a trier and is hard
Nahas 3/10 - need to improve his tackling, mediocre disposal.

Mmm yeah we hand't blooded many younger types - with success...today changed that. Overally great effort and I'm impressed.

Rance would've been a shoe in for rising star if we'd one, but because we didn't...well, may be in the balance, bur melbourne lost so he's a chance. Love the kid...keep him in - stuff mcmuffin.

In - Rance
Out - McMahon

Rance looks like he belongs out there and with another good pre-season will definitely cement his spot I reckon. Has the body of a third year player.

They showed enough faith in elevating him to the seniors then giving him he's debut today, extend that faith and allow him to show over the coming weeks what ability he does possess .
