Hey The_Wookie . .. That has to be one of the best vids I've seen in a while, really well compiled. .. Of course it helps that seven go for the coach shot they want to portray the atmosphere they are looking for but still a great contrast. .. Loved the start, you could have been cheeky (cheekier) and said after the "maybe three" comment "Not you Malthouse"

Ummm... same reason Ratts was getting it in the neck from all and sundry a couple of months back.

He is the 'head' coach and takes all the blame even when the real coach sits behind him and the players lack even one skerrick of something called a heart.

I wouldn't say it's the same reason buddy, Hird is just a face that they payed for to shut their bloodthirsty fans up. The guy just sits there and does nothing from what I can see. Have you seen the "How to Coach like James Hird" video? Hilarious stuff. They were like a pack of vampires after Knights' blood, once the Hird experiment fails again next year, they'll want the genius that is Matty Lloyd

Then there's that other idiot that signs HIS OWN messages as "The Weapon". LMAO What a dickhead. His ridiculous physical fitness plan has put them up shit creek and NOW the media refer to him as this "Dean Robinson" fellow. LOL I didn't even know his name until they started copping it.

I reckon the entire dream team should be sacked, bunch of clueless pidgeons. Here's a beauty from Hird "We've been competitive for about 5 games longer than last year". Wow, you've also faded worse this year you nutcase. "Hey I came 15th in a triathlon, but I was leading half way through "

LOL can't wait for that to unfold they just don't understand the basics of building a football team, you MUST develop an elite midfield because Watson is their only good one and he can't do shit when Carrazzo's playing.

Have you seen Daniher play? They are getting an absolute steal with him at about pick 12. I would trade any of their other talls, Hurley included, to pick up a mid over passing up on Daniher.

Not sure how you can still feel this way considering Essendon had 33 frees and Carlton 24 frees.

lol way to mask your team of pea hearted, downhill skiing, plodders. Your problem was that you don't have the talent to go with us when we come to play pal, if you look at the last 6 matches you'll see that. When we turn up it's curtains for your mob, when we take you lightly, that's when you beat us. 4 out of those 6 have been beltings, you should change your colours to black and purple.

Yeah and Rich was supposed to be the best midfielder in the last 50 years.

No doubt he'll probably be a gun at AFL level, but if your midfield is rubbish he might as well stand there and watch the grass grow. Watson and then who? Zaharakis? Stanton? Melksham? Give me a break that is one of the worst midfields in the comp, they have very little upside imo.

My point wasn't that Daniher is crap, my point was they desperately need top quality mids and they've known this for years now, but instead they keep getting the wrong types in every draft, highlighting their stupidity.

Watch, Watson will be DONE after next season, his body will be shot, he has to carry the rest of that pea hearted midfield season after season and it will take its toll on him. Once he burns out, they are screwed unless they can get a couple of top quality mids asap to help him out.

I actually agree with you. I was surprised to see that we had more free's. I thought it would have been pretty even in the end, and it wasn't. I felt at the time and still do, that Essendon copped the rough end of the rub in the first quarter and a half.

All that said, it mattered absolutely nothing to the game and the final result.
