In the prelim, 2 trades left and I am going for one last upgrade.
Choices are:
Cloke -> Riewoldt
or
Michael Johnson or McPhee -> Bowden or Mackie
The Cloke trade in pure average terms gets me the biggest increase (and I'd have a forward line for the ages - the others are Deledio, Pavlich, Richo, Buddy, Brown & Murphy). However, he's been pretty good the last couple of weeks since there's been more talls in the Pies team.
Thoughts?

I am assuming N.Brown isn't a chance to play next week, and this week is a real tough prelim match for me so may have to bit the bullet and get rid of him...
Would people rather Richo or Volt? Both in good form obviously, richo's injury-worries concern me, but he does have a very nice run home. Thoughts?

Guys got three trades left. Playing the best team in the league this week so going to use two to try and knock him off.
Anyway i've traded Valenti to Hooker from Essendon just for the money I needed the cash plus Valenti was just an emergency anyway.
Now comes the decision 4 options
Bassett or Urquhart out in the backline in Mackie or other gun backman
out Morton in Bartel in the centre line
out Hale in Cox in the Ruck
out Rioli in Pavlich in the centre.
Bartel is the best player out of them so I think i'll play it safe and grab him, but Cox is another good option. My forward line is my strong suit with Rioli the clear weakness in the starting line up. The thought of adding Pavlich to it has me wetting my lips but this is only a fantasy game after all. My backline is my weakness with Bowden my only real gun but I've never really worried too much about it but it would be good to have a gun back there. Thoughts

Bit of a dilemma.
4 trades left, $16k in bank.
Been thinking of upgrading either of Ibbotson or Johncock (out of form) in defence. Johncock is $261,600 whereas Ibbotson is $258,300. They are my weak links in defence but I'm not sure who to upgrade. Ibbotson has been consistently solid but Johncock I figure on a given day has the capacity to score bigger scores, he is just out of form.
So I have been thinking about whether to trade S Thompson (North) down to a rookie (e.g. Hooker) and save $67,200. Couple that with my $16,000 in the bank and I'd have $83,200 to spend on an upgrade.
Unfortunately, Mackie, Wheatley and Sam Fisher are out of my price range. I already have Bowden, Milburn and Newman. The best I could do as an upgrade for either Ibbo/Johncock under this deal is Goddard or McMahon. I could also get Welsh, Birchall or Bock who are all much cheaper but don't score as many points as Goddard or McMahon.
My other option is to leave my defence as it is, and upgrade one of Stevens ($347,600) and Priddis ($314,100) to Ablett, having downgraded Cotchin to a rookie (e.g. Magin, Veszpremi etc). This option would clearly leave me with more money in the bank as Ablett is $405,200, i.e. I could depending on which player I trade be left with over $100,000 for my final 2 trades next week.
So, what do you reckon I should do?
