I find it really sad that our best midfielder atm is Wellingham who was collingwoods 4th-5th best. Really shows how shit our midfield is, i mean i watch alot of footy and must say that our team has the least amount of goal kicking mids. Pathetic

In fairness he has raised his game since coming across to us.
Not that he didn't have big games at Collingwood but he has been consistently good since coming back from injury.

How much daylight is there between him and the rest of our side. Looks like he still plays for Collingwood. Don't worry, Woosha will fix that and bring back to our shit team level. Can't have him showing up the usual general play can we...

Hard work for votes this week, only Wellingham and Scott Selwood had decent games..even then Joel had 30 and kicked 4 so he got beaten on the night.

This is a bit disingenuous because multiple players played on Joel throughout the night, it definitely wasn't a hard tag or even a close-checking head to head match-up. It was early, but after quarter time they largely played separate games, mainly because our clearance set ups were woeful at generating efficient forward entry.

I agree but even at quarter time Joel had 8 disposals and a goal, he was just too good for any of our midfielders to be perfectly honest. Scott and Sharrod's games individually were pretty good but when you factor in the dominance of the Geelong midfield over the night..they were just ok.

It depends which way you look at it,overall i don't think any of our players played as well as they could have tonight.

Oh I definitely agree that they weren't that great in comparison to Geelong's midfielders, but I feel sometime's its easy to misunderstand S. Selwood's role given he only sometimes plays shutdown roles.

looking back on it the game really showed which players had the mental strength to continually work, regardless of the scoreboard.

1. Ummm .... Carter (why not)

Also we shouldn't have a go at our forward line. I mean the ball has to get there first, and the few times it came in it went directly to a Geelong player.
