It just dawned on me that Big Bad William Frampton just became the first ever ruckman to debut under Ken Hinkley.

Tonight was the 138th game of Hinkley's reign.

You do have Gray x2, Broadbent, Boak, Ebert, Hartlett, Rockliff all the wrong side of 28.
Might need to try to exchange for a few for those 22-25yo types. Defence needs work.

Suggestions = Thurlow, Kolodjashnij (either or both), Bugg, Jack Steele, Kelly (GWS), Blakely, Tucker, Parish
and apart from Kelly all wouldn't cost the earth trade wise.

- fresh off dual AAs Boak at the ripe old age of 27 goes to shit.
- workhorse/tackle machine Lobbe, coming off the ripper season, becomes a plum plodder who can't take a mark or affect a contest.
- prodigy Wines goes from sky's the limit Crippsesque contested ball 16 touches in a quarter Midas to bull in a china shop can't hit a target to save himself.
- our previously innovative and effective centre square setups become extremely vulnerable to opposition 1 2 punch takeaways
- Even with AA ruck Paddy Ryder knocking it down their throats we can't get a cohesive set up to take advantage this year.
- We've got about 8 'bulls' on the list and only 1 or 2 genuine outside types, the best of which is off to Arden st next year.

The bloke was a champion player but you can't tell me he has a clue how to coach a modern midfield unit. BULL ****ing shit Voss, get the hell on

Our midfield is disgusting bad.

And to think this group will more than likely be without Polec next year.

I'm going to need medication to watch that stuff unfold. We just might be the side who can't move the ball forwards at all.

I missed the game last night due to a function at my daughters school. Listened on a radio that I smuggled in.

How do you not take advantage, in the midfield, when their ruckman is out of action after 1/2 time?

We should have smelt the blood in the water and like a pack of sharks gone in for the kill.

There was me worried when my daughter signed up for a 24 hour event for September back in June. "You know that is during football finals right?"

His re -signing is just as puzzling as Ken’s . Even more so.
Board is accountable for this mess.

We have deficiencies all over the ground. Defence is shakey, our midfield has too many plodders and we have the worst bunch of small forwards in the comp - Neade, S. Gray and Farrell. I’m happy to cut Farrell some slack but not the other two.

Couple that with a head coach who’s not up to it. There are no simple fixes to turn this club around.
