I know its early, but lets get a full weeks discussion in here on who is best suited. These are the players in my team who are options. Please add names of people you have as options.

Cox- playing a better ruckman than he has over the last 2 weeks. Is wet here in Perth and is forecast to rain all week. Still a viable option. Prediction: 100-120

Chornes- Playing Adelaide who give away more 100's than any other team. He also seems to lift against us too. But Choco playing him out of position won't help his scores (was this a once off against the Swans) Prediction: 100-120

Bowden- At the G against the Pies. nice wide open spaces for him to roam free. was much better last week than in round 1. Prediction: 90-100

J.Brown- playing Sydney. Nuff said. Prediction: 80-90

BJ- playing the TD where he seems to go alright, although the Doggies have been embarrassed a bit on Friday night footy in recent times. Had a shocker last week, so will be looking to improve on that. Could be a high scoring affair. Prediction: 100

S.Thompson (Adel)- another who lifts against a certain club. Is hard at it, while Port have more runners than inside players. Should see a bit of it. Prediction: 110

Hodge- Coming back from suspension, will be better for last weeks run. still scored 98. Playing NM at the Dome. Not sure on this one, but should go over 100.

Lappin- Hasn't had a massive score yet this season and playing Sydney. Pass. Prediction- 75-85

I know not all these players will score what my (maybe not so good) predicitons are, the problem is finding the best option from these (for me)

What other options are out there for other teams this week?

Cox, against fremantle this round, mmm he probably will maintain his form but could be less up against sandilands. surely 100 points.

Riewoldt against the bulldogs, should be a good round for him this weekend. 120ish

Dal Sando, again, against the bulldogs. 130s

Gary Ablett; should demolish Melbourne midfield, potential high score; 140 if play all game. (only risk would be that Geelong may rotate players giving Ablett more rest as they do not "need" him or any other geelong champions to win the game.)

J.Brown, facing Sydney defenders who will be keen to curb him. Could be hard for J.Brown to break out but at least 90.

C.Cornes. will lift his game, probably 100ish.

H.Shaw is a wildcard. He probably will be on Richardson and can shut him down.

I am tossing up between G. Ablett, Cox and Dal Sando

Cross or Dal Santo for me but they both average poorly against who they are playing.

Wildcard: Chapman.

Be wary. Hodgey got destroyed by Brady Rawlings in the Final last year. Food for thought.

Pavlich - Playing agaisnt a weak westcoast defence which might he missing glass. However the rain in wa is preventing me to pick him

Bowden played NM in Round 2. Not sure who he's playing this week but he won't get the nod for captain till he finds some form.

You should just keep this discussion in the Captain thread.

just fixed it, was looking at Round 2 when typing....

agree he needs to find some form

I have a tough decision, and i need to make the right one after a dismal score last week (but good captain choice)

Wish I had a Geelong midfielder, but Cross, Cox and Stevie are three that I'm thinking about. BJ never again. If I had my Vice as captain instead of him I would be in the top 20. :(

Gary Ablett; should demolish Melbourne midfield, potential high score; 140 if play all game. (only risk would be that Geelong may rotate players giving Ablett more rest as they do not "need" him or any other geelong champions to win the game.)

He's still a sure bet to get over 120+. i have him pencilled in as skipper with Marc Murphy vice captain.

Any even half-premium midfielder against Melbourne or Carlton will lock in a guaranteed 100 points. Unfortunately the only Geelong or Essendon midfielder I have worthy of consideration is Stanton, a risk I'm not willing to take at this stage.

Also need to consider The Chad. He loves playing his mates from Adelaide ;)

Gilbee would be another worthy option against a St.Kilda forward line that floods and gives defenders plenty of space to chip the ball around the backline (see Craig Bolton and Bret Thornton's scores of examples of mediocre players who have racked it up against us so far this season).

Ablett- Skilled Stadium- Melbourne:: What more can you ask for? The only other thing that screams TAKE ME NOW is bartel but seeing as i don't have him.......

I'm Sticking with Ablett all season i got 296 this week

I'm going for Goodes this week. Last few years he's averaged around 110-120 against the lions, and i have a feeling he's gonna put in a good one. Just got off at the tribunal, which is good news for my supercoach them. :thumbsu: Other options for me are H. Shaw, Gilbee, P. Burgoyne, Cox, Stanton, Cross, cox or Brown. All others are too inconsistent or i don't trust yet.

Yeah i think G Ablett would be the obvious contender.
Unless u wanna risk a geelong power forward who could kick like 8-10 goals...lol

Any chance Melbourne might play some sort of possession football (like richmond did a few years ago) to curb geelongs scoring??

I think if you have Ablett, Bartel, or Corey you cant go past them this week can you?

For me i will be watching the weather and picking either Cox, Dal Santo, Sam Mitchell, Chad Cornes or Heath Shaw
