Still waiting to hear more about Stevens injury, but at this stage A trade seems likely

Am looking at either Fyfe, Bont or Gaff. Like the potential of Gaff right now, but he can put in poor games if conditions are wet (doesn't tackle)
Apparently had his chest drained, flying back today, will miss this week, but how much longer?

Strange how DaTBird stated some time ago to be aggressive with your early trades to correct some of the errors you have made and to get your team scoring as well as it can as early as possible. Yet, in trying to do that, so many people are saying "oh no, I'm not trading this week". OK, I realise we do have limited trades BUT the trades I am making now are hopefully avoiding the need to trade later and should improve my score now rather than later.

Trading this week is a no brainer for me. If people can look themselves in the mirror and say "I cannot make my team any better" then kudos to them. But Viney has a BE of 154 and Crouch 117. They are gone.

If there isn't an obvious trade to be made, why trade for sake of it?

Im going with 0 trades this week again. Looking at Newman/Hayward next week for J.Smith/Pickett/Parfit etc

The only player in your team who'd come close to being traded is Steele. But his BE is 77, so it's not like he's going to go backwards at a rate of knots.

Horses for courses, you don't need to do squat yet.

Exactly and i dont even want to trade Steele. Only had 66% TOG on the weekend, i don't know if something was off with him? Either way, Steven out now so he should have more centre bounce attendances and hopefully used more. Should bounce back strong vs Brisbane you would think. I am keen to hold, no point trading just for the sake of getting in WHE.

Have enough cash For Taranto > WHE, Pretty standard for those that can afford it, I'd imagine.

Everything else is reasonably settled, I do have Hibberd (will wait for Newman to be on the bubble)
Am semi-tempted to trade GHS / Pickett for Houston, I know it's reactionary and a quick money grab (with Houston B/E)

Port Adelaide have Hartlett and Pittard returning
Doubtful that Houston/Eddy keep their spots (even though they both played well)

Zak Jones cleared to play means that I can wait a week for Smith --> Newman

Now Lewis is out for three weeks i would imagine Oliver is a no... not sure how it will effect his scoring havent really watched the melbourne games

I'm really stumped this week. My potato farm needs fixing but I can't think who. If he gets dropped he is gone. Steele should be much better being in Victoria this week and with Jack Steven out he should be the main in and under player.

WHE and Houston are must have but I can quite work out how I'm getting them.

With you on Crouch. Am unsure which way to go though, up to a Dependlebury, or down to an Oliver or Murphy?

Leaning towards Murphy, because Oliver is a weird looking dude.

Surely helps Viney and guys like Vince, Petracca, Tyson and Brayshaw

Crouch did have 118 in last years showdown ;)

Will always say this

Don't just look at the scores, look at the stats also, how are these players scoring their points?

Low possession but high tackle types of players will likely be inconsistent, hence why no one should be contemplating a Libba type until he starts winning more of the footy and playing more midfield minutes (has played as a half forward a bit so far).

Currently, handballs. Handballs everywhere. At the risk of sounding like the old lady who sits nearby on the Mainwaring wing... KICK IT! JUST KICK IT!

Defenders have high kick to handball ratios these days, not many mids

Would rather someone finding it nearly 30 times a week every week than getting the tag and going to water from it. Crouch needs to spread a little more and lay the odd extra tackle, he'll ton up once he does this which I'm confident in he will.

I am a Shaw and Steven owner also, I feel their playing/scoring roles are worse than Crouch's. Shaw I'll live with because he's a defender and he'll likely pump a 120-130 out in the next few weeks and be the difference, if he reverts back to 80-90avg then he's a D6-7 candidate later in the season.

I've got the semi-decent fortune of Crouch being one of my bigger problems. Aside from 3 rooks who didn't play last week, he's the guy who I could look at to generate some cash by trading to a cheaper alternative, or generate some points by going elsewhere. He looks like his pre-rd 11 of last year self and needs to nudge the K:H back like he did post rd 11 last year.

But this is my Monday rage trade, Friday may be very different.

Was still playing midfield against the dogs, unlike Mills who was definitely back to defence.

Newman has come in and taken Rampe's spot

i have mills , im thinking they will run him through the mids at some point , my dilemma is whether to keep him im leaning towards keeping him as ive seen it before panic after two rounds and they burn you with a 100 the next week

i can trade him down to mcgrath and take some cash or the money i lose if he only scores 60-70 ill make back if one of the one gamer defenders kick on at 132k

my scores are 2054 and without a trade 2191 which was good enough for 226 ranked for the week im sitting just over the 1k rank , im thinking i might go another week and keep mills in and pray he comes good,

im going to go against the crowd on whe , i have macrae , buddy , miller . dalhaus , roughy and nankervis in my forward line with eddy and butler on the pine , i need to make two trades to get whe in and i dont think i need him to be honest , i think he will toss out a couple of 50-60s very soon

any thoughts on him
