Same, I hope Webster, Duffield and Warnock make the cut... along with someone else.

Suprised Dunn not even on the interchange. Thought he could have maybe replaced Cookie on there.

I think we need to start playing some younger midfielders.

Cookie, Campbell, Webster and Warnock for mine, assuming it is fine weather.

If its raining maybe Duff or Walker come in for one of the talls.

From that bench I'd like to see Webster, Duff, Cook and Warnock play. This seems as good a week for Warnock to debut as any.

That is a very poor Melbourne side gotta say.

My interchange would be Cook, Webster, Warnock and Jimmy not Duff.

There's rumours going around that Jimmy has a leg injury. Don't know how accurate they are though.

Campbell could be a chance which in itself is a joke given how he's going at West Perth (an absolute disgrace against Graham on the weekend) that aside both he and Warnock will travel.

What does Dunn have to do? Not named as even extended interchange. Why is he not playing? Former top draft choice, 4 years on the list, solid pre-season, good WAFL form. Some have suggested he is highly regarded at the club. Am I missing something?

It begs the question, why did they keep him on the list at the end of last year? He's obviously not rated in our best 32 or so, even in the form he's in.
We could've had another pick in the so called super draft. I'm sure he would've commanded at least a 3rd round pick, but if not then Jamie McNamara at pick 80 odd is looking good in hindsight atm.

Why the hell are you guys not giving Dunn a dig?

Heard he's playing good footy in the WAFL, whats he gotta do?

The kids all class, I've got big wraps on him... Think he's worthy of a crack, especially when you guys are 3-0, gotta be worth a try?

Can I ask who your emergencys are guys?

Tarrants first game back in Melb yeah? Best of luck to him, loved the bloke when he was at the Pies... Hope he dominates

Poor selections IMO, Warnie and Campbell won't play together so why select them both? Duffield got his chance and didn't grab it, Dunn should be next in line.

They should be taking Campbell and Webster as the emergencies with Dunn and Black in for Longmuir and Browne. Warnie should debut next week against the crows, but play for the Cardie's this week.

Melbourne
Saturday Southerly change. Few showers. Min 12 Max 21
Sunday Few showers. Min 13 Max 18

The thing is, he has only started playing good, consistent footy in the WAFL this season.

Before that he was often injured and was hardly spectacular when he played.

He finally got a good pre-season in this year, and seems to have overcome his injury problems.

I think the club what him to put together more than just a few good WAFL games. If he keeps going though, it won't be long. He is rated very highly at the club.

I agree that selecting both Kiwi and Warnock is a little strangeee.

Maybe Tarrant pulled up a little sore?

As for Duff, I think he does deserve another chance. Especially since we are still missing Johnson. His run out of the backline is good, he just needs to spot up the targets he has been missing.

I'm certainly not suggesting we don't pick Duffman again this season, but he got his chance and didn't seize his opportunity, so Dunn should be playing.

With Black returning this week, Johnson back next week, and Warnie to debut in the near future we might not get a chance to play Dunn if we don't select him now.

I'm sure that a spot will open up for Dunn in the midfield.

By all accounts, he played mostly out of halfback for the sharks prior to this season. The club probably wants him to get some more confidence and fitness as an onballer at WAFL level in the hope that he can slot in for Hase/JCarr/Bellie if required later on.

I am itching to see him in the team as well, but I don't think he and Duff/Black/Johnno are necessarily competing for the same spot. I think he is now being groomed as a follower/clearance machine.

I'm amazed that Headland still has a place in the side and Dunn cant get a spot.

Surely it's Des' last roll of the dice.

Erm no. Send him to the WAFL and he'll pick up 40 possessions and 5 goals and be back the next week. Hedeserves the spot. If he was playing WAFL he'd carve against all our other lads playing there.

I think its a matter of one or the other will come in with Campbell and Warnie depending on the weather. That or they are taking Warnock over to experience being with the team before making his debut next week.

just wondering how many people have been watching dunn? his stats look very good, but we all know how decieving they can be
