Exactly. I think it is suicide on a dry day. Pies got away with it because they knew it would rain. If it didn't the result may not have been as good.Dropping Aliir we are going in with a short defence, something that is a bit of a worry against Adelaide.
They've been beaten outside the contests. We've faired well in contested possessions so far.and even against Adelaide's very depleted midfield I do not trust our midfield to win the contest. They have been beaten in every match so far this year.

They smashed Port for more than half a game.
He's not an emergency. Can't play.Anyway our mids have no bloody excuses this week. However Sloane has come over to Sydney. Don't rule out a late change.
I am talking about the entire game. Being able to beat an oppositions midfield for half the game doesn't really cut it.
My bad! So absolutely no excuses then. He's not an emergency. Can't play.
Possibility of rain/storms tomorrow, i can understand us going a smaller backline for flexibility.
That's crap. Horse knew he was underdone and played him. He did the same last year. It's as though Horse wants him to fail.He gave him a go last week and he was average.
and if the game is played in the dry?
Which isn't rocket science considering he's a defender.
Horse is punishing Aliir for his own stupidity.
Unless there is something going on with this bloke we don't know about, imo the kid is being treated and developed poorly. In 2016 he was best 22 all day long with some crying over the fact we lost a massive part of our winning opportunity for the GF when he was injured. Now after sleeping in and an ordinary start to last year where he was no ******* orphan mind you, he is seemingly pushing shit up hill to retain the opportunity to be an AFL Player. He is checking out the Swan's training grounds.Anyway our mids have no bloody excuses this week. However Sloane has come over to Sydney. Don't rule out a late change.
Probably with no respect to be honest
It just happened to be very wet in Adelaide last week. Crows went in far too tall for a wet day. It is not going to rain tomorrow no matter how many rain dances I try.Worked okay for Collingwood last week. They went in with one tall defender Dunn.

Longmire takes sets against blokes imo and the proof is the pudding with Mitchell and now Allir. When Mitchell gets the Brownlow hung around his neck this year one of the greatest **** ups in the clubs history since trading Carey to North for 6 V Stubbies and a stale packet of ******* Colvan chips should be recognised. Before anyone comes at me with Coaches don't take sets against players you can stick that where the sun don't shine because I foolishly done it myself when I Coached. Stamping young players papers and putting a line through them is piss poor coaching.
I think that's only half the story.People are forgetting how good he was in 16....he was played out of position as a forward decoy to free up buddy and horse drops him! Way to instill confidence.
"Hey mate we need you to play a role you have never played before and basically we just want you to compete and drag a player out of buddys way.....na aliir your shit go back to neafl "
Its going to hurt us when aliir walks out
I think that's only half the story.
The other half is that Melican has been undroppable. So we either go 3 talls, perhaps freeing Rampe or Mills up, or Allir has to wait for Grundy's retirement.
My vote would be to go 3 talls.Grundy isn't going to be around in 2 years time and at this rate Aliir is going to request a trade at the end of the year. I would not blame Aliir for requesting a trade as he is being treated terribly by Longmire.
Yep and that is why Draft Horse will NEVER win another premiership. Because he does play favs. Other than the fact he inherited a great team and has produced a mediocre outcome. One premiership. One massive loss when favourite. One loss to a side that should not have even been there.Honestly I think Aliir is gone at the end of the year. Horse clearly plays favourites. Think he's over Aliir.
