Round 5
Sunday April 17th, 2022
MCG

We find ourselves bottom of the ladder and the only winless team in the competition, and this Easter Sunday we come up against one of the years biggest improvers, coached by ex-assistant Michael Voss, who are coming off their first loss of the season to the Gold Coast SUNS.

It's believed both teams will be without midfielders Ollie Wines and Patrick Cripps respectively.

A loss to one of his ex-assistants here would surely mount even more pressure on Ken Hinkley.

carlton just got rolled by the suns
they will be breathing fire

all it takes is one 100+ point beating and the pain will be over

it's time to say goodbye ken.

Looking forward to this game going to be massive! Hinkley will have the boys all ready to go!!! Up the power!

Carlton by 21

I love how you are being insanely sarcastic and expat power thinks you aren't.

Port Adelaide Hinkleys - less than 10 goals

Michael Carlton's - more than 10 goals

Mitch McGovern to take as many intercept marks as pies his brother inhales at half time.

Carlton aren't super, but they been playing genuine hard footy and have pretty good structure, I'd say a 4 goal carlton win at home

We should actually win this.
Not convinced about Carlton yet and still in denial our list even in spite of some insipid coaching is a 5-0 side.

Ken won't be allowed to take his "try not to lose by a lot" game into this one, so we either scrape a win or lose big. The fact it's at the G helps us as does the afternoon time slot. I think we get up, and it's another one of those "wins for the ages".

Port by 12 in another dour slog.

Last week felt like a bit of a referendum on Hinkley. All the supporter bashing and media cheersquad before being embarrassed by Melbourne.
If we lose to a former assistant, go 0-5, bottom of the ladder, it is going to be hard to justify his continual presence in the coaches box. Certainly can't just put it down to whingeing supporters.

Voss has had Carlton rolling though, a loss to GC and he'll want them backing up. He knows our team, our players, he'll have a plan. It will be a tough one but if we are ever going to pull one out, you'd think it was this week. Considering how our year has gone though...Carlton by 4 points.

We turn to water against Carlton at the best of times. Only beat them in 2020 due to the heroics of R. Gray.
This current team will get one sight of the navy jumper and start having flashbacks to all the times we should have beaten them but didn't.
Expecting a modest Carlton victory here as we screw around with the ball, have repeat entries and expell too much energy for 0 return.

You guys are delusional if you think Hinkley wont be given a reprieve for not only having Dixon & Aliir out but now also Ollie.

The media gaslights will be burning with full force come Sunday evening and we, the supporters, shall be the reason the Earth ceases to rotate.
