I'd prefer to leave AReid in the side and give him goal kicking homework on the training track.

This will allow him to further develop his craft of being a key forward against men and also allows the smalls to synergise with him. More value to us in than out of the team for mine.
Yeah I'd be keen for Archer to stay in as long as possible.

*Carlton were 7 goals up v Richmond
*Carlton were within a goal of Hawthorn at 3qtr time
*Carlton were 4 goals up v WBulldogs
*Carlton were leading Collingwood at half time

Yes they haven't got the chocolates but they've been well and truly in games v good opposition.
We'll play Carlton back into form. We'll kick start their season for them.

Injuries to Yeo and Hutch have hurt our midfield massively, when they return we will start to play better footy, I’ve got no doubt.
Until then I we need to reward form, Petch has been playing well in the WAFL and deserves a crack, he can rotate between wing HFF or have a crack in the guts, unfortunately Long hasn’t shown much at all this year, I still really rate him, but he needs a dose of confidence.
I would also like to see Bo Allan replace Cole, Bo just looked like he was trying too hard in the WAFL, but he’s part of future and Tom Cole is not.
Just play the kids.
Oh yeah and we really need to draft a ruckman in the mid season draft.
That snap from Williams in the forward pocket about sums him up, he tries hard but he just ain’t got it.
We will lose this week, but I reckon we’ll get the chocolates against the bombers.

FB: Hough, Brock, Maric
HB: Duggan, Ginbey, H Reid
C: Davis, Graham, Dewar
HF: Brockman, Waterman, Kelly
FF: Ryan, Allen, Cripps
R: BWilliams, Baker, Hall
Int: JWilliams, Gross, Hunt, AReid
Sub: Hewett

The above depends if Ryan, Hewett and Waterman are back. Might have to bring Owies/Petch/Johnstone in instead.

We just need to isolate Weitering from the game. Allen should do that subconsciously with how he’s played.

Also allows us to keep Kelly in if things get horrible and we need someone to blame.

Allen to rotate back as well to account for the extra tall

Weren't we actually ahead of Hawthorn when we played them last year?

Got their season going.

I'm now torn whether I want us to inadvertently kick start Carlton's season so the Barrass trade looks better, or actually ****ing win a game for once and get Carlton's top 5 pick for Allen anyway.

Nah **** it, bury those VFL pricks.

I'd really like to see Kelly dropped, but our midfield looks paper-thin. Yeo is still injured, so our senior midfield rotations consist of Duggan, Baker and Graham? Bleurch.
Duggan’s only attended one centre bounce since round 1.

Baker and Graham spent less time in there this week as well.

Is there a chance Hutchinson comes in this week? Or leave it until the bombers when we get our 1st win?

I don't think the Snake gets up.

I doubt we drop anywhere near as many as deserve it

Out: Long, Davis
In: Petch, Hedwards

Davis to come back and get a run in his legs after getting the travel experience.. Longy desperately out of form, needs a spell. Petch gets another spin.

Hedwards gets a life-line, presuming McKay is back in for Caaarlton

Definitely, think Hutch would be pretty close to playing and Petch deserves his spot.
If Hutch is fit he would be a really good boost to midfield rotations.
Long and Owies should be definite outs
Brockman should be sub at best depending on fitness of Hutch.
Bo will earn his spot but would have thought Johnstone, Davis, Gross, Hall are all in front for the minute.
It seriously looks like A Reid is going past BW fairly quickly as our ruck going forward, he isn't ready for full time ruck but he looks to have solved the longer term ruck issue imo.

Interesting take on Reid in the ruck, he’s not bad for a 2nd year player is he😀

Reid barely rucked on the weekend (2 contests and 1 hitout), it was Jilliams giving his namesake a chop out.

Really hoping Waterman gets up for this week. Ideally he's been close for a little while and flies into Adelaide early this week to get around the boys and get em up and about.

Would love a look at an Oscarless forward line to see how it operates. Oscar can play back, Waterman in for the vacant front half spot.

TC has been good this year but stunk up that first half big time. Got busy after half time, particularly up the ground intercepting the play and sending the ball back. I think he may survive this week and Bo Allen is the most likely replacement who is still building.

TK could be the one to go. Whether they do it is another thing but Johnston could come into a HBF/wing role and Reid could rotate between back line and TKs mid minutes.

Minimal changes. We play well in Adelaide. Weather is looking great. Need to hold on while Blues get their fast start then go all out attack after half time to try and reel them in. I smell an upset.

That imo as this boards self appointed ruck genius, purely on size, Briggs is a big boy, yes archer battled with taylor and buckley well but briggs is on the next level

I'd grab the vision of Darcy Jones from yesterday and show that to Hamish.
Different leg speed players ( darcy is faster but davis can hold his top line speed far longer) but yes i agree

yes, for all the reasons that we don't want to bash him up by being 1st ruck at this stage of his development.
He looks to be our ruckman longer term or a very good ruck/fwd.
JW is a capable fwd/ruck also but more of a FF type stay at home inside 50 longer term with ruck support if needed.

Waterman has flown to Adelaide so looks a likely starter.

Tim Kelly must be an out. He has no passion for the club and no longer cares. He just wants his gravy train of a payday to continue
