it's not really a surprising result looking at the squad.

our most senior/experienced leaders today are Kosi, Blight and maybe El Nour & Wilson at a stretch. Absolutely stuff all experience across the ground. 2 cat B ruckman and a bunch of kids in the middle & forwardline. Plus some absolute hacks (Ellie's brother).

it's the nature of having such a young squad I guess. Really missing Garner and Street out there.

Bound to happen when your 10 goals down. Game was lost at half time.

We rocked up without a game plan built for the conditions and the side was set up to fail. This one is on our coaches not players, most of them are still just kids.

Batchelor has indicated a few times that we’ll play the system regardless of conditions. All about development as opposed to the wins. When the wind is like this, game plans are bound to fail.

I have no issues with that approach if you’re purely focusing on player development.

More concerning is the lack of defensive pressure, especially through the midfield. Id you’re not getting first use, need to make sure oppositions first use isn’t effective. Haven’t done that at all today.

Those wanting to know what Sonsie has to do to get CBA opportunities it’s showing much more defensive intent that he has.
