I am not sure if Kris actually qualifies as a Rookie, but it was his first game for us and he did some good things and deserves a vote. However if he doesn't then Joncock gets 2 and Fitzgerald 1.

Another showdown loss which means having to take crap from the pap heads for a while longer,

Still the paps played the better footy in the 2nd half & probably deserved to win, losing Biglands, Bickley & Johnson in the 3rd quarter was the turning point especially Bicks who was showing the way with his aggression on body & ball,

That was the worse game i've ever seen the Roo play he must be carrying some sort of injury as he made no impact at all on the game,

Schofield was very good in 2nd half but i feel that it was Kingsley who really done the damage when put on the ball, to think that 3 weeks ago some pap heads on this site were baying for his blood
was comical,

We just never took advantage of the control we had over the game in the first half. We couldn't put enough scoreboard pressure on Port Power and once their midfielders exerted their trademark influence they were able to make it count where it matters most.

It's disappointing but if you put it all in perspective we've beaten 3 reasonable to average teams and lost to 2 top 4 sides. No shame there really, with a bit of luck we might have been able to pinch one, now we just have to get back on track and try and get a couple more wins against sides of similar standing to us. These couple games have been a good test for us and while we've failed, they weren't the final exams, there's still a long way to go in the season. :)
 
Excuses excuses...

What you REALLY saw was a top 4 side juuuust having to go up a gear in the 2nd half to put away a middle of the road side. Port did just enough, that's what good sides do. Mediocre sides like the cows make excuses. Take away the 4 freebie goals the umpires gave the cows in the first quarter and the cows weren't as good in the first half as you think they were. It's just that Port played terrible in the first half :cool:
 
A top 4 side in the Powder which were humiliated by Melbourne and the kangaroos in the first 2 rounds.

Taped the game, but can't watch it again. Felt very flat afterwards & needed a few drinks. So my votes without an unbearable 2nd viewing are:

Topjars - I personally had Massie as the 6th best player, just missing my votes - very unlucky. Certainly a promising start for the Crows & I wasn't happy when he was benched (particularly with the Cocky kicking a goal a minute later!)
