Dumstill is an unrepentant Collingwood hater spreading his bile to another generation - remember players of his caliber influence young minds.

Whilst TRDS like him are allowed free reign in the media Collingwood will continue to be widely maligned.

I am so lucky as not sure when it happened but I can now watch a game on TV and tune out the commentary.

The bad

• Two weeks in a row we were unable to stop the opposition #1 tall forward from dominating the aerial contests. Lucky this week he can‘t kick straight.
• <30000 to an MCG game on a nice Autumn day.
• Our clearances were better this week, but they remain a work in progress.

Felt Dunstall was more reasonable with his commentary than Riewoldt and Hudson.

While it’s obvious why Nick hates us (lol) I’m genuinely bemused with Anthony Hudson, who ten years ago was the most professional and even commentator out there. Now he’s a shell of a commentator who blatantly barracks during our games for the opposition.

Every time Ginni was in a contest, Hudson insisted he was playing for a free.

Cal Brown got two of the most undeserving free kicks I've ever seen! Mihocek and Ginnivan were also gifted a goal each from soft calls. Umpires are having a bad year

I think umpires need to find form more than players. They usually get better as the year goes on, but they're over-umpiring ridiculously at the moment. Looking for and imagining stuff.

I dont envy them. The AFL change the rules and interpretations every 5 minutes so the poor bastards probably cant keep up

Think we still burned a lot of opportunity. Patty Lipinski (for instance) had 6 I50’s yet the 2 that stood out to me were the 2 where he kicked the footy over the head of the forwards who had space for an easy uncontested mark and set shot. Once in the 1st quarter (from memory), once in the 4th (from memory). Instead, GC take the intercept mark and clear. Need to take those opportunities if we want to compete with the big boys.

Yep Lippa was great but those 2 kicks hitting the lead up forward must become bread and butter passes for him.

Overall though, what a pick up he is for us. Does so much grunt work inside and his handballs releasing teammates into space is top notch.

He's also got the ability to get outside the contest as well so i think he will continue to improve as the season goes on.

Important to note, i believe both Tay and Jordy have been crook the last week or so which meant we needed Lippa to really step up, which he did yesterday.

I don’t understand the infatuation with Lipinski, yes round one he was near BOG…has been on a decline since. Racks up the uncontested ball but so did Phillips. Burnt the ball a few times today, considering his skills are his one wood that’s pretty bad. Not saying he doesn’t deserve his place, just saying he’s overrated.

The backline issues today are not th me coaches fault, we need another key back and we will leak goals because we are playing so aggressive.

Begg is not up to the level, should develop in the 2’s what a dumb idea brining him in so early.

Cal is down on confidence and should not come in again until he’s had a string of BOGs in the 2’s

Tyler should not come in again until he’s 10kg heavier

Daicos needs to be rested, he’s carried quite a load and was outstanding again today.

The biggest concern today is we won without a ruckman, and we pay 800+ for a ruckman we don’t need.

If you think Grundy is getting paid to get taps only - then you really don’t understand his value.
It wasn’t his tap work in the last QTR on Anzac Day, that was crucial to winning the game.

I’ve not re-watched the Suns game and compared to previous games with Grundy, but I suspect one reason (not the only reason) our defence got burnt was due to not having Grundy.

He does have a big tank, covers the ground well and gets back in defence all game. I don’t think Cameron or Begg provided that at all yesterday. I’m sure they will get better.

Just I think the biggest aspect of Grundy we will miss is his ability to cover the ground and get back in position quickly.

Correct - yet we have people here wanting to save money and get a bog, Ruckman for tap work only, as if all the additional talents Grundy has is meaningless in a Ruckman.
Grundy is a hybrid between Gawn and Jackson that these people don’t see.

They also generated a heap of easy clearances. A lot of their early scores came from centre clearances it seemed

Holding the ball is my biggest gripe - there is no continuity with the officiating from one quarter to the next - let alone one game to the next.

Spot on. Sometimes they'll blow the whistle immediately after a player takes possession for a ball up. Next time they'll wait a few seconds until everyone knows they're going to pin them for holding the ball. Its a coin flip what youre going to get.
