Can someone tell me what is doing with Geelong? Crows good or Geelong poor, combination of both?

Watching GWS v Suns game. GWS really attacked the footy early on but Suns have just kicked 6 in a row to lead by 13 at HT. GWS lead by 4 goals at one point but just got overrun.

Geelong have started the season slow like us. They are missing Bartel and Scarlett as well today but I am not worried about next week, with the retirement of Ottens they cant have three talls in their forward line like they did last year with West and that worked very very well for them. I think we will beat them in a good game, cant wait for that game.

Geelong got torn a new one in the first half.

They would've got a rocket by their coach at half time so I don't expect the margin to get much higher.

I have a horrible feeling Geelong will smash us next week especially after todays performance.

Yeah i don't think todays result is good for us at all leading into next week. However our boys have to use last years gf as motivation so there are no excuses for us not to be up for the game.

Trying to look not too far ahead, we then have the crows in adelaide the week after.

Adelaide look quite good. Their tales are up. Everyone will write Geelong off this week and say theyre arrogant. Then come out against us and lift as usual.

Interesting Geelong youngsters struggle, like most when missing a few core gun players.
Yep, yet I haven't heard any "Geelong lack depth" calls from the media like they keep saying about us.

The truth is when you lose a few stars, you can not replace them with kids.

Geelong have been shit though, they tried to lift at the start of the 3rd and got one goal.

Umpire Schmidt doing the GWS v Suns game. Demotion after his ineptness from last week?
Demotion, almost like a promotion, that's the AFL's two babies running around out there, they don't want anything to go wrong.

He's the second worst umpire in the game, right behind Jordan Bannistair who's only got a gig because he's an ex player.

I won't lie, seeing Geelong getting flogged was very satisfying. Unfortunately now we face a humiliated and fired up Geelong next week and the team that gave them the pantsing the week after. I'll enjoy it for now though.

GWS set for a historic first win by the looks now.:thumbsu:

Great opportunity for the Pies to jump a few places tonight at the expense of Hawthorn and Geelong.
Carltank should see Saints drop a further game behind us.

That makes Geelong next week and Adelaide the week after season defining games at this stage.

Not quite sold on Adelaide just yet. On any other day this year the 19.8 they kicked would have been 12.15 (only 87). It seems just like one of those days where everything clicked for them. Lets not forget the Cats weremissing Bartel and Scarlett too, two very important players.

Geelong have hardly looked good all year, apart from the Brisbane game which I missed, to me they have looked no better then us.

Kicking myself that I didn't get on Adelaide at $2.20 odd early this week
