Pretty important this round and I'm particularly interested in some.
Possibly Peaking -
Salopek: has been great and has significantly improved his average (up over 90). My concern with him is that he wont maintain it, especially because he relies alot on getting the ball from others. (although his teammates do seem to like the ball in his hands). So, at 375k and an BE over 80, what is one to do? He can easily be traded for someone like Mitchell (downwards actually) and this in my mind is effectually an upgrade.
Houli: He seems to have done is job, making 80 odd grant and with his two 90's about to come out of his average, he probably wont up much (if at all) over the next few weeks. With someone like Armitage about to rise, it could be Houli that makes way.
Mattner: Again done his job but I don't think he's a keeper. Up over 300k and there are quite a few quality backs if you've got an extra 30k or so up your sleave. BE of 87 this week but with more pressing issues in everyones back, do you really worry about someone averaging over 75 - probably not.
In terms of my cashies: Wonaman, Nbrown, Palmer, Masten, Bird, Rioli, Gamble & Tippet. The only one to have near peaked would potentially be Brown and I don't think there is much value of trading him to make a measly 40k.
Bottoming out -
Mitchell: Seems like this is the weak to look at him if you're going to at all. Down around 360k which is very very low for someone of his scoring ability and consistency. In terms of value I think he (minus Kornes) is the best in the mids - considering a BE of 59.
Swan: 1 more week I think but I'm guessing if you want to jump on him it should be soon. BE of 130 and a price of $404K, should see him fall below $400k after this round, which is excelent value for someone of his notorious scoring ability. TOG is a worry but he still manages to score. I'll be looking very closely at ways to get him in next week.
Chapman & Riewoldt - will likely slide a little more over the next few weeks and with players like Deledio, Burton, Porps etc coming up to meet them, that should also create some interest.
Thoughts?
...and who else do people see as the best candidates for buying and selling this week?
