Can't see Morton coming in for Mumford. Hope White gets the gig.

I reckon if we told Pyke that he had to take them on by himself he would start growling and scratching the ground with his hoof.
I wouldn't be against it, maybe throwing Goodes in to rest him the new ruck rule could help but if we haven't played Morton yet I couldn't see us doing it for this particular situation.

We all know Goodes is going nowhere near the ruck. It's just not going to happen.

In Nick Smith's press conference at the airport on the Swans website, you can see Morton in the background so he is at least going to be first emergency.

Strange how we've had all this discussion about having too many talls in one side when Tippett's eligible to play and now all of a sudden with LRT out and Mumford missing tomorrow night, our side looks a tad undersized. I still think Morton offers us more than White, despite the size difference.

When White would be playing as our 2nd ruck, I don't see how Morton could be offering us more than Jesse.

If Mumford was in the side, Morton would be of more value. But without our ruck duo in tact, we need White to play.

Throw anyone into the ruck just rove to their ruck Hodge did it for a while and after the taps he created headaches.

just for the record I don't really think it will happen.

Big change? How has Mummy been going for you guys of late? He is a big presence that is for sure.

His form has been fair. Probably not as bad as some media outlets and Swans fans have been making it out to be IMO. Last two weeks have been quite good I thought. Not 2010 form, but still pretty good.

He's a big loss but this is why Jesse White is on our list...well not really after the Adelaide debacle, but still.

I can't believe I'm saying this but I think Jesse might just do the trick tomorrow against the Hawks. It's a perfect storm for Jesse.
He has been performing reasonably well in the twos but once again, it is a totally different class. But should Jesse clunk a couple of marks up forward & kick us a couple of goals, win some tap outs whilst Pyke is resting forward, knock a few Hawks over with his bulk (doubt it), then he just win me over.
But all I want to see from Jesse is a hard contest. He needs to make his presence felt as Mumford does when on song & give Gibson & Lake a hard time when up forward. Make the pricks accountable & protect Reid a little more.

I get the feeling that when Tippett & LRT become available, Mummy just might be the one under pressure to hold his spot.
It's a credit to the professionalism Pyke has shown in every game he has played thus far.

Probably fortunate the trip to Adelaide did not work out form him. Everytime we play you guys and Jesse White is playing I just expect him to tear a game apart but he never really seems to get into it. What is it with him - work rate? Intent? he seems to be pretty skilled from an outsider looking in.

Had to burst your optimistic bubble Ted, but Jesse's good form in the reserves is all related to his ruckwork. In fact, he's been doing so much of it he's hardly spent any time, literally, in the forward line. The small amounts of time he has been there, I haven't seen much improvement - he still tends to drop those easy chest marks that should be an absolute gimme for any other key forward.

The reality of the situation is, once Mummy is fit again, no matter how well Jesse plays he'll be straight back out of the team.

If you read my multi paragraph effort, i never call you a dickhead.
You referred to what I was doing as "being a dickhead". I don't really have any desire to piss around with the kind of semantics primary school kids try on. In any case, this is going off topic, if you actually have any interest in an answer you're welcome to PM me.

As long as White stays in the ruck I'll be happy. Keep him out of the forward line please.
Yeah Punts just beat me to it, we cant just rotate him off the bench. Lake and Gibson will love it when it hits the ground and it will.

That's the spirit good attitude you are starting to win me over.

a "dickhead act" is not calling someone a dickhead. I could of used the word rude, mean etc.....

eg.
do you think you are more of a swans supporter being a &%€#head to a hawks supporter?
do you think you are more of a swans supporter being rude to a hawks supporter?
do you think you are more of a swans supporter being mean to a hawks supporter?
etc .......

if you are that precious that you took offense sorry. but in no way was i attacking you. it is just the way i write.
