Had originally locked in Hayes -> Hayes and Jackson -> Parker
BUT
Now Hewitt is out, would cop a donut down back if Hinge doesn't play, so contemplating

Hayes -> Hayes and Jackson -> Vlastuin (via McCartin DPP)

Does Vlastuin keep it up and become a top 10 defender??
Unlikely.

More likely he gets injured and misses more games.

Just saw the Thursday night teams and so much carnage. Prior to teams dropping, and with the players I though would be returning, even before trades I was going to have cover on every line and loops everywhere but the ruck. After teams were announced and before trades I now have virtually no cover and one donut.

Time to use a trade boost to fix things.

If Rosas makes the final cut tonight then he'll be on the bubble and has to come in. S.Hayes is also on the bubble and has to come in, although he'll be trapped on my ruck bench. Oliver is a must have in my final team and his price has now bottomed out.

English > S.Hayes
Durdin > Rosas
Ward > Oliver
$143k in the bank

If Rosas misses the final cut Durdin stays and the boost won't be needed.

Not rapt in losing English, who I've had from the start, but he'll miss at least 2 more weeks and trading him is the best way to make Oliver affordable. Leaves a ruck combo of Gawn R1, Preuss R2 and S.Hayes R3 which seems safe. English will come back before his price rises, (possibly fwd), and end up R2 when Preuss or Hayes max out.
personally disagree regarding rosas. couple of fwd rookies on the horizon. as you dont NEED the cash to make an upgrade, id skip the boost

waiting for 5pm sunday teams but

Xerri
Hayes
Hough

for
TDK
Hayes
Coleman

or i could go Clark instead of Coleman.
actually * that

replace Hough with Ward and Coleman with Rozee.

Hayes trade obvious and I've gone early on Clark but I think his JS is solid and no reason he shouldn't average 70. Don't think I'm chasing points with Mills either as he has consistently been building up to a premo mid the past few years. Also good chance he is $700k in two weeks so time is now!

So much carnage and too many rookies still on my list.
Turning Grundy, Mccartin, Hayes into Cripps, Sinclair, Hayes.
Still have Durdin, Rachele, Mccomb, Macdonald, Hinge, Pedlar.
Surely got to score better than the 1958 last week.

126K itb now that Xerri is out instead of McCartin, have gone for Cripps over Clarry still as cash gen is gonna be an issue I think.

have to field Durdin, SDK and Rosas this week 🤮

The only line where i have no question marks is the midfield and that's where my only two playing benchwarmers are. The only way I could fix the defence is to trade in a fwd/def player, but I don't know if it's worth doing that instead of Oliver over the long term. Two trades have to be used to fix holes in the forwards and ruck.

It has recently come to my attention that Cripps is 520k. All previous trade plans have been abandoned

Wake up.
