Round 7 Trades

Sheil/Magner/Coniglio > Horsely. I want to keep Magner for the bye though.

I can either put in Adams for Kennedy, or I can trade Stanley for Robinson. I have a feeling Robinson is due for a bad game, so I might just do 2 down grades this week.

Tough week for trading with a few good rookies available as well as a few premiums at a nice price.

Like many Magner to Horsley looks extremely likely at this stage.

Would then give me 284k in the bank to play around with.

I still have Golby (he seems to avoid getting traded every bloody week) and want to bring in another back premium. Ideally need someone with a round 11/12 bye, so main options are Heppell, Suckling, Birch, Enright, Adcock, Hanley, Duffield and Hargrave.

Whilst Hargrave has gone up 103k in price, still presents decent value in my opinion. Enright has started to come into decent form of late and is quite nicely priced. Hanley is around the same price as well. Suckling and Birch hovering around the 410k mark look tasty as well.

My other possible trade is Kennedy to Adams. Not sure I have a massive need for this with 6 premium forwards already, but I'm thinking Adams could be a great F7 until the bye rounds, especially with Treloar on the pine.

So basically,

Magner -> Horsley

then one of

Golby -> Premium

OR

Kennedy - > Adams

I traded Golby out, he did his mid-price thing, went up in value etc, then tranfered Johnson from fwd to backs. I also traded out Shiel.

I brought in Horsely. This means I am better placed for byes, Old McDonald has way more to rise than Sheil and I have my round 11 keepers already. Horsely to take me to round 12 ...... Then I might get GAJ back in FTW.

I also got Sidebottom in for the forwards.

Happy with that and the team is looking better now.

I'm fed up with gibbs, he is my favourite player, but really his dreamteam points are being sacrificed with his role down back. all my cash cows are still mooing so have decided

i know there maybe some protest from people on this board about trading gibbs, but he is basically getting the same scores as some rookies and is not looking like a keeper, so will trade him out to earn heaps of money and take advantage of all the mid cows. with this i will get around 440K and will be able to upgrade 2 rookies next week. (prob magner and ellis) i am not worried about trades at the moment because have 20 at the moment (been very lucky with injuries having none to my recollection)

Mmmmm I know Shiel has more cash to make me, but trading him to Chappie this week is soooo tempting...

Would cop a definite zero in round 12 doing so... but I think the points made now over a rookie in that position (7th fwd) might be worth it.

I have been thinking very similarly. Could go Kennedy to Horsley then Smith -> Chapman/Johnson while they are down on price. Would finish my forward line (Cornes m7) but would also use all my cash and mean i miss out on Adams.

Will most likely end up going similar to everyone else.

Well it's Shiel or Magner I'd say. On current form you have to trade Magner. On total average etc. then Shiel should get the boot. But Shiel has shown a lot of improvement and less likely to be given a shutdown role. Plus if Miles or someone else plays their 2nd game next week you can always get rid of Shiel then and Shiel should make you more money next week.

all have some money to make and all of them id feel comfortable enough with them playing on the field for me and all 4 have better js than horsely.

there will be another horsely come along in a few weeks,

This downgrade of Shiel, magner, old mac, greene etc to horsely is gonna be going on all week non stop.

Its not going to be difficult to choose...just look at your midfield needs for rnd 11-13, then look at job security, then just rank them according to which has most short term upside price potential with breakevens etc...dump the worst.
Long term is just pie in the sky so dont even begin to attempt analysing which might be a hold till rnd 15-17..thats just a guess and confuse you.
They're all priced similar, 10-20K makes no difference unless there's a particular upgrade THIS week to be done as well...be clinical.

Sheedy earmarked him for 5 weeks rest. Similar to the others. Only benefit right now is he was suspended and fresher, likely to go a bit longer short term before he cops the rotation too but thats as good a reason to hold as any other.
He's a hold to me but not assuming any are keepers. Magner and Horsely to me are the two longest term prospects right now.
Without haveing a close look i;m assuming Greene will bullet but die, and aiming to hold Mac, Mag,Horse. Thats just me how i see it.

This is why I would consider trading C Smith to Horsley rather than Magner to Horsley.

Greene, Shiel and McDonald all clearly have a lot more cash to make. Magner is a viable option if you want to free up cash for an upgrade, but he's also worth holding onto for the bye rounds. I'm very unsure about C Smith's JS and his scoring potential, whereas Magner is more proven, though suffers when tagging (which is a lot, atm).

I'm not sure I can afford to have that (probable) 0 pop up twice during the byes.

You would think it would be easy since I have 6 rookie mids to choose from...
Coniglio, Greene, Kennedy, Magner, McDonald, Shiel

Kennedy seems the obvious choice, but this would remove my fwd link,
so if I don't go with him it'll be Magner

Only problem going Magner is that I was planning to keep him for Rd11 byes, otherwise I need to trade quite a few rookies before then....

I'm loathe to trade Coniglio or Shiel this early and the other two are out of the question.
