Really annoyed with the selections. Sure, Morton's been down but no Richo means more room for him to roam and hopefully snap a few goals. Brown has no interest in football any longer, that's obvious.

Why is so difficult to play for the future? No wonder we languish at the bottom year after year.

If we were sitting top 4 with a 5-1 record I would have no problem with us bringing in three 30 year+ players into the 22 afterall we're a fair shot at playing finals.

.

need to scratch beneath the surface some RT before landing that one Morton had to be dropped meaning who of the youngsters was legitimately overlooked...I can only think of

Edwards
Connors

Neither of which really need to come in, maybe edwards next time...none of the young talls have done nearly enough to warrant a debut, leave them well alone...cotchin will come in next plus the next fella to kick a bag at coburg provided it aint sarge

The question is, will all three players be there next year?
Have all three players derserved there spot in the side?
Bar Cousins the answer is no.

Brown hasnt played well all year and he has not played in the past two weeks. I dont think he should be on the list past this year.

Simmons has been rubbish in the seniors but played a good game last week in the two's but Gus and Pattison have done well in the ruck. NOW Wallet was saying today that Simmons will play forward.
Based on that info Simmons should not be playing. As far as next year goes he should also hang them up.

Now - Macfuffen got dropped (which is the best thing we done) so you would think S Edwards who was apparently BOG in the twos playing half back flank would fill his spot?

People simply think by playing young kids is tanking. This is wrong, we should play the kids because they are better than some of the guys playing seniors now and yes some senior players.

Only 2 of the top 9 picks in the draft have not played thid year and they are NUI from WCE but he has been injured and of course Vickery.

I dont think those 7 clubs are tanking? Sidebottom will debut this week.
We have only played Hislop from last years draft and that is because he has been in the system for 3 years. Why did we give up pick 3 for Thomson?

The mentality of our club is to play your top two picks in Coburg twos.

Again by giving a young kid a chance to play the game is not tanking its developing and improving your team.

Collins has done a great job when he has been in the team.

Cousins was in the bests last week with limited time, given his history, the fact Coburg firsts have a BYE this week and how good we know he is, he deserves to come back.

But the thing is the kids aren't putting their hand up for selection and not playing consistant good footy.

I still think Thomson will be a great player, way too early to write him off.

Remember also we have used the most players this season, so we're certainly giving enough players a go in the firsts.

hopefully today they can put up a good performance and come to play. with cousins in they should improve skills and disposals which can get them over the line.

the bombers have 4-3 despite being pretty erratic and look like they have moved ahead, knight has done wonders in those big games. cant afford to lose too many games from here on.

Of course we tanked, remember the Gaspar incident? That was a pure tanking process. Nathan Brown also admitted in an interview that the club was pushing youth ahead of usual suspects, something the club had not done before. Remember tanking is not intentionally losing games, it is playing youth ahead of best 22.

Tanking is letting Travis Johnstone get 40 possesions of half back with no tag. Tanking is dragging your full forward (and only real scoring option) when you finally get back into a winning position. Trying to get wins on the board while playing the kids isn't tanking.

How do you manage that? Back door deals with opposition coaches to not tag a hbf? Never heard of that personally.

Yeah the second point you made is a tanking process as well. Different levels of tanking. Another one is to put players into surgery early.

Playing Connors, Browne, Hislop ahead of Bowden, Simmonds and Brown is definitely tanking, so you are wrong about that. You can not aim to lose, it isn't possible, just a myth perpetuated by ignoramuses.

So the first game with Browne in was tanked?

Interesting I wonder if Patto is injured or just been shunted out of the side Happy that Jay gets a go at FF now leave him there for the next 4-5 weeks and see what he can do
I'm guessing Brown must still be injured otherwise it could mean that his time is almost up

No way known Pattison would have been dropped ... must be injured

I'd say letting your opposition's best player rip you to shreds and not send anyone to him the entire game would be considered tanking. Especially when he cops the number 1 tag the next time you play against him.

Bowden getting showed up for the hack he is. His mistakes have directly resulted in at least 5 goals. 2 from his turnovers and 3-4 at least from being out bodied when Moore was off. Thursfield in Bowden out forever please.
