Hes just as inexpereinced? What about McAuliffe then. McIntosh had 12 disposals last week, for a midfielder that is basically ineffectual. So he is in for his stamina, aggression, a bit of tagging and general chaos. None of those things he is doing overly well. His ball use in close is below average, his defensive work is okay and he has done some good work tagging but nothing like the Saints bloke did to Taranto a few weeks back, wore him like a glove.
Surely McAuliffe deserves a shot in the middle over Mac. His tackling is great, his left foot great, he is quicker and much better over the ball. His one weakness is perhaps he is not a great runner yet, bit neither is Lalor and he is getting a game, why because the positives outweigh the negatives.
Get used to it RINSE AND REPEAT.we’re going no where with bauer and sonsie in the team
i know melbourne traffic is shit but surely it won't take him four hours to get homepost game meeting moved to baltas house to avoid him being stuck in traffic
As a midfielder, more so as he's been playing the mid all his life, MacIntosh this season only. What do we need experience for, we have 2 very seasoned mids, and Ross and Dow now looking comfortable at the level. Mac would be about the worst midfielder in the league right now.Hes just as inexpereinced?
??? AFL experience, mate. Not midfield specific. Also Mctinosh has played on the wing his entire career, its not like hes beena back pocket, he plays through the midfield. Centre bounce spefici he hasnt been in there as much, but still has more than Mac at AFL level. As a midfielder, more so as he's been playing the mid all his life, MacIntosh this season only. When Lalor goes in the middle we look so much more exciting, McAuliffe is not so dissimilar to Lalor in that they are both pretty dynamic around the ball.
Well then put him on the wing, because he is not doing much as a mid. A wingman is vastly different to playing centre square midfield, very little contested stuff where skills in tight spaces are needed.??? AFL experience, mate. Not midfield specific. What do we need expereince for? Because we have more than half our team on the field at any time has limited afl expreience. You still need leadsership, guys that have played at this level, bigger and more expreienced bodies.
I’m no fan but sekta should have got himmcburney on 3aw
sounds quite feminine
life must be easy in their multi million dollar leafy inner east houses if that’s their biggest issueFk me the hoks board is full of sooks hahah their preview thread is half about how Balta is the worst person who has ever lived and how Vlastuin sexaully assaulted Chol and should be behind bars

that is genuinely the best possible line-up which means the bench will be the opposite.

In HydeGet used to it RINSE AND REPEAT.
great to read that report on Hopper.Training report from PRE
Thursday:
A feel good session from the point of view it had the fullest list of players participating with the main group at least for part of the time and also that there were no injuries out of last weeks VFL or AFL games or training today so we should have good VFL & AFL squads named.
Pluses:
Balta: will be back and in the best shape physically of his career.
Simms: Resumes from illness last week.
Prestia: Trained 50% with the main group, before doing more running in rehab, (ps This is the first training I have seen him do in a very long time)
Taj & Gibcus: Trained 70% with the main group and 30% rehab when contested drills were happening.
Lefau & Young: Are in full training and no longer adorn the no contact capsLefau in particular is flying. He was also doing a little bit of ruck craft work with Simms, Mate` & OHB.
Highlight:
Hopper: Now I don't expect this to excite people but he is moving the best he has in his time at Richmond, is not going to ground as much, his sidestepping in tight is elite and makes up for somewhat for lack of pace. His season so far reflects all this soit continues.
Full Time Rehab or Other:
Armstrong: For someone that is listed as a 10 week away hammy he is doling a hell of a lot.
Samson: The only one just walking around but even that is just listed as a 1-2 week foot injury.
So I pretty much have no negatives from today(y)
