Is it going to rain at AAMI at the PA v Syd game?

i'm still thinking about O'Keefe,

He scored around 120 against Port in round 2

Another poster commented that Cox will get the chance at alot of hit outs if it rains.

Also I think the rain will increase the gap between Cox and Griffen.

Also Cox even when he played injured scored reasonably well.

Cox dominates Adelaide like cheap hookers on a slow friday night.

Melbourne will be fired up against the Hawks, who are missing a little in the midfield with Hodge and Crawford missing.

Buddy has had 2 big games. Is he over his consistency?

I'm playing a guy in my main league that I should beat.. I don't want to end up losing if Franklin scores 30 odd again. Coxy should safely get 100.

What if due to the slippery surface Cox is unsure on his sore foot or heaven forbid..hurts his sore foot.
Will he be able to hit targets in this howling wind and rain even though he is the big Coxmeister? EDIT: Wonder what the wind will be like tomorrow.
Will the Eagles midfield touch the ball so he gets any hitouts to advantage?

B: Matthew Warnock, Colin Garland, Daniel Bell
HB: Clint Bartram, Paul Johnson, Cameron Bruce?

Argh.

Thats true.

Nah.

Cox has midfielder like skills.

Also its only risk of a thunderstorm... could be fine. :D

I'm going Coxy.

I wanna go Coxy too, have a man crush on him. The big fella has never let me down this year when I've had him as captain. I'm too worried about Buddy to be honest and Pavlich could go either way.

Going with Franklin as my captain. Should tear Melbourne apart.

I'm playing an opponent who has only 4 backs playing and 5 midfielders, he has both Ablett and Franklin but doesn't have Cox. Seems most likely he'll play one of Ablett or Franklin captain, most likely he'll have ablett so I think Cox is safest - I have better depth and should win but if Franklin has a shocker It'd make me vulnerable - both Ablett/Franklin have the potential to score huge but the way I see it, if my captain scores around 90-100 I should win comfortably.

I've got Dal Santo and Sam Mitchell who are fairly consistant as well.... but Cox against Adeliade, rain or no rain he should comfortably get 90 and if its dry then 150.... seems the logical choice?

Just had a look at some of the stats ...

Big Forwards vs Melbourne Backs ....

Rd 1 - Buddy 6 Goals
Rd 2 - Johnson 3 Goals
Rd 3 - Hawkins 5 Goals
Rd 4 - Thompson 5 Goals
Rd 5 - Fevola 7 Goals
Rd 6 - Bradshaw 6 Goals
Rd 7 - Pavlich 5 Goals
Rd 8 - Burton 5 Goals

I think looking at those stats I will go Franklin v Demons rather than Cox v Rain

Now I have just read that Nick is averaging 43 points less interstate than he is at home.

____.

Cox or Buddy?

Or Shaw? :D
I don't have the balls to go Shaw although I think he'll score well.
Dal Santo is travelling and I like my captain to be at home
Mitchell is ultra consistant and would be a safe choice
Cooney is playing Kangas meaning he'll have Rawlings.... i'll stay clear
leaves Brown, Pavlich, Franklin and Cox.
Brown was good last week but I want to see one more game like that before he gets considered captain.
Pavlich is in great form and a safe choice.
Cox v Non-existant Adeliade ruck, but may rain
Franklin v himself, should dominate but he's franklin and he's had his good games so despite all logic he's set for his typical 30-40 that he throws in every few games.... and if I make him captain it'll definatley happen this game.

Basically leaves Cox, Pavlich and Mitchell - and I'm leaning towards Cox.

Buddys FA and odd clangers (34 this season) scare me.

I wish I had balls.

Not such a big man are we! :D

His error rate is the reason I didn't pick him at the start of the year, highest in the AFL. But I think he has shown this year, it doesn't matter how many mistakes he makes, he still kicks ass.

Only had 3 clangers in total for the past 2 games.

Like you thats the only reason I am worried .. probably the only reason i didnt pick him at the start of the year.

Thing is that even with a huge amount of clangers (5-7 in earlier games) he still scored well.

A clanger free game vs Melbourne could be huge

If it was not raining in perth I would go Cox to be on the safe side (even though I made point about more ruck contests).

Going Buddy at this stage.
