In saying that does it really have any effect? Wandin have 15 new senior players in a game this year to the one that got knocked out by Woori in last seasons final. This is not having a go at Wandin by the way just pointing out the points system is very very leniant. Fair to say the clubs that are spending the most are sitting 1-2-3 on the ladder.

It's not about the top 3, or top 5, it's about the whole competition. The points system is, and by a fair margin, a lot easier to police than the "salary cap" system that used to be in place and therefore a lot fairer.

The gap between the top and bottom teams in each division in the EFL is probably a good indicator of the points system versus open chequebooks. We won't know until seasons end, but I bet more teams are a chance of making the finals in 1st division in the YVMDFL deeper into the season than teams in 1st division EFL.

Coming from a successful club, although we work very hard to get the kids up and going,every year is a battle
How can clubs, 10 out of 20 with powelly doubtful this year, who don't have kids coming through ,compete in the future
It may be time for the more successful clubs to provide a way forward
This problem won't effect this weeks results but it will effect the comp in the not too distant future

Few angry people up at Monny training last night in regards to the ongoing fevola investigation. Heard that there was a mediation session last weekend between the clubs and it was decided upwey would give the bloke an in house suspension if monbulk agreed to the terms. Upwey came back with a one week break for a king hit which they admitted happened monbulk havnt agreed to terms so i believe it will be going to an investigation. Stay tuned this one i have heard may turn nasty.

Have also got onto a letter from upwey to the league anyone want it posted bit full on with a few threats. Let me know bit like the YVMDFL wiki leaks amazing what steve leaves lying around.

Well played garion! You are clearly the Damian Barrett of this forum!!! But in saying that can't help but think as a monbulk person you took great pleasure in exposing upwey for being absolute lip droppers!!! Cannot not believe that a upwey person would try to relate what our soldiers do/and are doing with a local football game absolute disgrace in my opinion! I know for a fact that mt.evelyn as a club attend the local dawn service every year maybe they are more deserving of a stand alone fixture on Anzac day seems they have a far greater appreciation of what it's actually about than upwey trying to question values of opposition clubs!!! Have spoken to several people who attended the game and said the player in question is a new recruit and the act itself was as low as shark shit!!! Regardless of whether you are defending a young player there are and were certainly better ways to go about it! In finishing the league needs to step in NOW!!! This has know gone on too long!!! Am with you garion would love to here upwey fan dig his club out of this!!!

The problem is our league (YVMDFL) is that far up Upweys ass it's a joke. You can see that with every game Upwey play. Every 50-50 call in an Upwey game go to the tigers every time. There the so called glamour side of the competition. We all know this, so there is no point even worrying about all this as nothing will come of it.

Does anyone know how and why Jugga got off his 2 week suspension. I saw the footage and its a disgrace he played last week and this week, He was handed down a 2 week suspension (should have been 4 weeks) for kneeing a player in the head, he appealed it and got off. In my opinion only because he played in the VCFL team he got special treatment.

Anyone care to comment?

Spot on torp. The inter league aspect is why he gets away with it ALL the time. Happened last year around yvmdfl and he didn't even get investigated. Never seen a bloke throw more punches with nothing to answer. League has its favourite players and teams and is terrible at hiding it.

That's a ridiculous statement. The league play no role in deciding a players guilt at the tribunal and an even lesser role if you like at a VCFL tribunal. The facts are Jugga got two weeks (guilty in our leagues tribunal eyes) then as Jugga pledged his act as negligible not reckless at a vcfl hearing his charge was downgraded in points and he got off.

I was at the game, saw the incident, in no way support wandin, and it was a stupid act that probably should have seen him sit out a week, but to say our league had favourite players that get an armchair ride is a joke!

J Mac, im not saying the league has had anything to do with Juggas appeal, what i was saying it would have been the VCFL (AFL VIC COUNTRY) that would have had something to do with it as he represented the VCFL side last year. If you see the footage no one in there right mind would agree with his suspension being over turned. Torp, it would have played no role in the interleague game coming up as he would have missed rounds 4 and 5 and played anyway. Having spoken to Jugga myself, he admits it was clumsy and should have taken the week and saved the whole process but I think it undermines an individuals character as well as the league or vcfl to say he got an armchair ride. I do see your argument however mate and this is nothing more than my opinion. Tribunals are hard enough to read at afl level let alone a few ex umpires and league reps on a power trip...

Congratulations Jason on lowering yourself to the same level of the person whom you have an issue with. This goes for you too Garion, but to you particularly Jason, this is a forum. BOTH of you clowns seem to think you can hold everyone to ransom and black-mail to get what you want.

Reality check, Garion, that email could only come from 3 people, think it through before you do crap like that, expect a tough week because THIS week, you will be found out. I completely understand your annoyance at the current situation, but this is COMPLETELY the wrong way to go about it. You have undone all the hard work YOUR club strives day in and day out to achieve.

Jason, you need to keep your personal beliefs aside from your 'business'. You get paid to provide a service to each and every club in the YVMDFNL, of which WE pay for. Blocking a Monbulk game is not only unprofessional, it is immature and acheives literally nothing. Why? Because NO CLUB watches their own game, they look ahead to watch their opponents game and find ways to beat them. It only does an injustice to you, your company, the 17 other clubs in the YVMDFNL, and most importantly, whoever PLAYS Monny next week.
