So La Liga is over for this year despite a few games to go?

I reckon that would be an accurate fact.

I reckon there might be 2 or 3 who have played and coached and won titles in 4 leagues.

There would be a few who have won in 3 leagues Pep Guardiola, Jose Mourinho, and I think Roberto Mancini off the top of my head.

Yep - Real Madrid 15 points clear with 4 games remaining.

Did I hear right that he's the first manager to win league titles in the five major European competitions?
And first manager to make it to 5 champions league finals. Of the previous 4, won 3 of them, the one he lost, Milan were 3-0 up.

Can someone explain why the Ange Postecoglou situation in Scottish Premiership is reported as such a big thing in Scotland?

I get why its big in Australia, but Celtic won 9 consecutive champions in the SPL between the 2011-12 and 2019-20 seasons. They also won 5 Scottish FA Cups and the last 4 in the same 9 years.

I get they lost/ finished 2nd to Rangers in 2020-21 and the margin of 25 pts 102 vs 77 is large and didn't beat Rangers all season, but they only lost 5 games and Rangers didn't lose a game so the 25 pts is made of 5 x 3pts for the loss difference and 5 x 2pts because they drew 11 games and Rangers only 6 games.

Looking at the previous 9 seasons where Celtic won the premiership, 77 pts was more points than 2nd place in every year except 2018-19. They lost 5 games in 2 of those seasons, 7 in 2012-13 and 4 games 3 of those seasons and in 2016-17 they didn't lose a game only drew 4 games and had 106pts and 2nd had 76pts.

What happened in 2020-21 that was so disastrous that Ange is seen as some sort of saviour? Did a whole lot of ageing champions finish up in 2019-20 or 2020-21 season and a long rebuild was expected?

They have to get 1 win from the last 3 games to win the league as they have 86pts to Rangers on 80pts and the goal difference is large +61 vs +42, so 3 more pts from 3 games gets the premiership cup. Both teams have lost 3 games and Celtic have 5 draws and Rangers 8 draws.

So prima facie it looks to me a reasonable but not great improvement by Celtic and Rangers have dropped off enough after an outstanding 2020-21.

Or has the Oz media, just exaggerated how big his efforts really are, and whilst good, the Scottish aren't going over the top like the Oz media??

Don’t leave early. There have been many examples, over the years, in many sports.
Best one I remember is the Miami Heat

With the events of the last couple of days, I forgot about the games being played last night.
Disappointed to grab the lead in the 90th and then give it up straight away. Ended up 4th and play Sheffield United.
Going to be a hard run in, but so are all playoff games.

Tottenham avoided the ignominy of arch foes Arsenal delivering St Totteringham's Day, beating them 3-0 overnight. A Gunners win would have put them 7 points ahead of Spurs with two games remaining for each, but now it's just 1 point the diff. Spurs have to back up again on Sunday at home against a desperate Burnley on the precipice of relegation, while Arsenal are away to Newcastle on Monday/Tuesday night.

Perhaps more importantly at stake than the St Totteringham's Day thing, 4th place and Champions League qualification is what they're both fighting for. Spurs last game will be away to already relegated Norwich, while Arsenal are at home to Everton, who might still be desperately trying to avoid the drop.

So we take a 2-1 lead back to the City Ground, after conceding a late goal. Probably should’ve scored 4, 5 or 6 if I am being honest.
In another plus we had Keinan Davis in the squad and got about 20 minutes into his legs. He could be a big factor from here on in.
Apparently there is another game on today, Not sure what it is all about though 😎

Was watching the AU v CCM game earlier. With the score at 1-0, there was a slight break in play so C10/Paramount go to an ad break.
Ads finish, the telecast resumes with the home side 2-0 up.
What a shambles.

GremioPower what's a Brazilian goal keeper doing being the hero?? how many goal keepers get exported compared to forwards or midfielders from Brazil? 80 to 1?

Interesting story about how Alisson helped more than just save a couple of penalty shots.

Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson helped his team to win the FA Cup final penalty shootout in more ways than one.

The Brazilian saved from Mason Mount before Kostas Tsimikas scored the winning penalty to ensure Liverpool beat Chelsea on spot-kicks after an enthralling, but goalless first 120 minutes of the tie when neither side could break the deadlock at Wembley.

But along with some important saves in normal time and the superb save from Mount’s penalty, Alisson also ensured that his opposite number, Edouard Mendy, could not play mind games during the shootout.

The Senegalese kept interfering with penalties during his nation’s shootout victory over Egypt in the Africa Cup of Nations final in February.

But Alisson was focused on not allowing this to happen again and after every Chelsea penalty he scooped up the ball and handed it to his Liverpool team-mates.

It proved to be an inspired decision as only Sadio Mane, who scored the winning penalty in the aforementioned Africa Cup of Nations final as Mendy’s international team-mate, missed.

Tsimikas, Diogo Jota, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Roberto Firmino, Thiago and James Milner all scored their spot kicks and the result means that Alisson has now won the Premier League, Champions League, FA Cup, EFL Cup, UEFA Super Cup and Club World Cup with Liverpool - six trophies in four years since his £66.8m move from Roma in 2018.......................

Has been a hero for a long time in a lot of games.

Right up there as one of our most important.

Claudio Tafferel, Julio Cesar and Dida three that come to mind off the top of my head

Could probably name 240 forwards and midfielders so you might be around the mark.

But to be fair only 1 keeper to 6 or 7 forwards/midfielders per team

Well, that turned around in a hurry, Arsenal falling on their arses 2-0 to Newcastle overnight - Spurs now only need a draw vs Norwich to finish ahead of them and clinch ECL qualification - Gunners must beat Everton and hope Norwich depart the EPL with a bang...
