A quote from the great man. Good advice.

"When I first went there they hadn't won a premiership for 20-odd years," Hart told AFL.com.au.

"We were always taught by Tommy Hafey to not look back on the past, to just think about the present and the future.

"If today's Richmond players keep thinking that way it will be a big step towards where they want to go."

Great stuff :)

When is Richo gonna be inducted into he hall of fame? Lloyd went in tonight. Richo had more talent and has kicked the most goals at the MCG. There's a Robbo circle jerk on twitter for Lloyd already
Richo is worth half a dozen Lloyds, cant believe he is in the AFL hall of fame.

What a surprise - wall-to-wall Lloyd coverage on the Herald-esSendUN.

No more fitting tribute to the best tiger I have seen . He played the game as it should be played ,when he went for a mark he used to just float in the air and if he didn't mark it he was catlike when the ball hit the ground just a super player . Brought a tear to my eye watching his highlight package this afternoon ,great memories from my childhood . And best thing about him in the big games he stood up to be counted . in our golden era from 67 to 80 he was our best player of that time and when you consider we had players like Bartlett ,bourke, sheedy and many others that is some feat. SO 3 CHEERS TO ROYCE A TRUE LEGEND!!!!. you are the main reason i'm a tiger fan and I have never ever regreted it even through the tough times of the last 30 years. so lets get right behind our current team and DO IT FOR ROYCE!!!!

I remember going to a Geelong - Richmond practice game at Kardinia Park in '74.

Fans were allowed on the ground before the game to have a kick. When Richmond ran onto the ground, Royce Hart was mobbed by kids chasing his autograph. He was very obliging and signed furiously for about five minutes, before joining his teammates for the warmup.

Rolls Royce was a hero to many, and a gentleman to all.
